I just bit the bullet an ordered a T1x. Now I'm wondering what rings and bases will work for this thing. Will standard Sako optiloks work for this? Or is there some other direction I should be looking into? Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

Tried some bases and found these that will fit the flat top:

Weaver #61 both front and rear

Burris Tru Mount 2Pc Tikka Reversible #410266 ( These are similar to the Leupold with a reversible base to offer mounting options )

Leupold 2 Pc Std Tikka T3 #54447

Mine is wearing the #61 Weavers.

Other options are listed somewhere in the over 700 posts in the Tikka T1 thread.

Tikka Performance/Mountain Tactical is currently designing a rail and should be out soon. Alternatively, a set of 11mm rings like Warne 7.3/22 should do fine.

If you cant wait and want a rail right now, its an overseas order. Search Contessa rail.

The OP need not worry about getting a rail that is currently unavailable in Canada. There's no advantage to adding the cost of a rail to the rifle other than being able to switch scopes between rifles using QD rings. There are plenty of dovetail ring options available, and I will be using them on this rifle as I do on my other rimfires.

This is more or less what I'm thinking. I'm looking to mount a Leupold VX-1 2-7x28 on it and leave it on there. I have 2 T3x'. A lite stainless model and a lite Battue model. Both have their scopes mounted relatively low and I'd like to use this thing as my small game/trainer rifle. So a set of solid rings that'll clamp onto the dovetail will be fine. Anyone use these ones?: http://www.nordicmarksman.com/1-Anschutz-Steel-Rimfire-Ring-LOW-for-dovetail-setup.html

They look like they'd do just fine for my intended purposes. Anyway, thanks for all the help guys.

I have those Talley Anschutz rings somewhere here at home. My own T1X may be arriving as soon as tomorrow and I can check them out. They may work fine, but I can't say for sure. I'll post when I get the rifle and figure out where I put the rings for safe keeping. In any case there are many choices when it comes to dovetail rings.

If you can check them out that would be greatly appreciated. They're the ones I'm leaning towards and would make a solid choice for me for this rifle if they work. Thank you.

I ordered a T3 rail when these were first announced and assumed the hole spacing would be there same. Shame they are not. For the price of te rail and me not needing it for another rifle, I’m thinking I might just drill some new holes and see how it goes. Hopefully the rail doesn’t interfere with ejection.

The Tikka T1X 11mm dovetail is very slightly narrower than the Anschutz 11mm dovetail. This is not surprising because even among German rifles such as Anschutz and Walther the dovetails are not exactly the same width. The good news is that the Talley scope rings made for Anschutz dovetails will work on the T1X.

Here's what they look like on the Tikka and the Anschutz.

My T1X is hours away from being delivered, a conversation last night about someone elses issues with scope mounting on a CZ has lead me down the path of going with a pair of FX no limits rings on the Tikka, this gives me lots of vertical adjustment for long range plinking and at half the cost of both standard rings and sloped base, I am also rethinking the 20 MOA base on my CZ and contemplating swapping the entire fleet over to FX rings

FYI according to Murphy Precision here is the hole spacing for the T1x

DIP now has released a rail for the Tikka, a standard rail and one (20?) moa. DIP doesn’t ship to Canada but another reseller does. I only remember it begins with the letter K

That's perfect. Thanks a lot for taking the time to look into it for me and for posting pics. It's helped me a lot.
