Could I please get a few reviews of the Tikka T1X from persons who have actual experience with the rifle?

I have one and love it. (I am a tikka fan though)

When mine showed up I dropped it into a CTR stock and made it identical to my hunting rifle with LOP spacers and cheek riser. Also did the trigger spring swap for a YoDave. Also put an area 419 rail on it (20moa I believe.) I removed the plastic insert that fills the gap between the barrel and the stock at the front of the action.

Mine does not like SK products and really only shoots well with Eley stuff. Haven’t tried Lapua yet due to availability locally. I do have a tuner for it but have yet to try it due to injury. I hope to test some other ammo with it down the road. If you’re looking at it for hunting I dont think you can go wrong, a for match fun I think the same. While it might not score like a full custom it will hold its own for sure once you find the right ammo.

I do wish it came with a normal butt pad not the thin plastic piece of crap but that’s cause I got gorilla long arms.

Cheers,
B

Mine loves CCi sv, seems to be a common thing. I went with an EGW rail (0 moa). Mine came at 19 oz(trigger pull) out of the box. It will go into the T3 stock with minimal work, mine was a drop in

Son has T1X in 17 HMR. Stock is much firmer than CZ 457. Bolt is super smooth. 10 rd clip is flush which is nice.

Great rifles, plain and simple. Mine has seen the sun fewer than 10X, but it's always the one I have to talk myself OUT of bringing. Need to justify owning the others.

I own a CZ MTR and a TIKKA T1X UPR (got an anschutz 1761 msr coming)both are very similar accuracy wise, the tikka is a bit less fussy ammo wise than the cz match barrel, but cz have a slight edge in accuracy with the right ammo, and cz magazine never fail, tikka you have to be carefull charging oo you get the odd ammo stand up in your charger blocking everything. Also tikka is a bit cheap having a plastic trigger guard, bolt cover and thread protector, all available in steel version for more money on a 1400 dollars rifle.( got to say that its the same with anschutz, plastic trigger guard also)

I have been very happy with both of mine.

The 17HMR has put the only 2 ammo types tried- 5 into 1” at 100M.

I’ve lost track of all the different types I’ve tried in the 22LR version. It shoots everything at least minute of gopher at 50M. And the stuff it likes, much better than that. Particularly the higher levels of Lapua, Eley, and SK. Those combos make an excellent tool for diagnosing exactly how you’re shooting on a given day.

Does it have a flat top like the TX3, drilled and tapped for various bases or does it have a dovetail...or both?

And why is the barrel threaded? For what?

I have a t1x and have shot sub moa at 100m with lapua ammo. It shoots cci standard velocity just over 1moa. All I've done to it was mount a scope. I love the rifle, wish it had been my first 22lr to learn on. Thinking of getting a 16in barrel with a lighter scope for standing shooting. The 20in barrel with a strike eagle 5-25 is hefty for a 22lr.

Both, see my 2nd photo and youll see my dovetail to weaver adapters. I now use a 30moa rail to get a 300y zero.

its great. Buy it in 16" 22lr. Have a nice day. Use SK Standard.

Im making a stock for mine

I have a cz 452 style and a tikka t1x. The cz is the better shooter even with the lighter barrel. The tikka shoots ok. They should include a rubber butt pad for that money. The mag isn't as good either if you ask me. But its a nice rifle just not the old cz 452.

I agree, the old CZ452 blows the T1X away in quality and accuracy. I rarely use my T1X as I don't like the magazine and it just overall feels like a cheap rifle compared.

The T1X does have an excellent factory trigger, however and is lighter for packing around (16" bbl). The short bolt lift is kind of nice too, especially for mounting a scope low.

I liked mine a lot but couldn't justify keeping it long term. I had the 20" 22lr version. I had it for 3 years or so. It was superbly accurate and had the lightest factory trigger that I've ever seen in any Tikka. Could have been called a flyweight trigger when adjusted down to it lowest setting. What made me let go of it was that I always ended up carrying my 10/22 to go hunting. The Tikka was front heavy due to the weight of the barrel. Its too thick for a hunting rifle. And I really didn't like the way the mags protruded from the stock when slung. I guess it all depends on the way you want to use it. For me, I didn't see any upsides to it compared to my decked out 10/22. But for someone else that may be completely different. All depends on the end user and what they way out of a rifle I suppose.

I love my 20" T1X. Smoth bolt, excellent accuracy with a variety of ammo, better out of the box trigger than a CZ. All the metal parts are well finished, no sharp edges, same as you would expect from their T3x lineup. Mags are good and reliable and have been problem free. I can get better groups than my friends with their CZ's & Bergaras. It shoots so well I sold my Lithgow as it didn't shoot any better than the T1X.

I have only owned the 20" 22lr version. I was horribly disappointed in the accuracy with everything I tried. When my son's old Lakefield can shoot circles around it, that is a problem. I like the rifle otherwise though.
