Hi, need some advice on good combination for a 2x7 scope, a friend suggest me to use the lowest ring as possible. Just want to be safe with the bolt clearance.

Best setup is a rail with solid ring??

Another good option is the Warne as they are steel and come with a recoil lug. They are heavy and a bit of a PIA to install but a stout mount.

Talley and Warne are both great options, as they make them specific to fit the Tikka dove tail. I have used both on mine and they both work awesome, never had a problem with either. Talley are available in extra low, so that might be the way to go for you. One thing I do want to mention is that while it is a good idea to have your scope sit low, as your friend suggested, you don't want it too low to the point in which it is uncomfortable to shoulder the rifle and look through the scope. I suggest going to a local shop and getting them to dry fit the scope for you, so that you can make sure the scope is at a height where you can keep your head in a comfortable position when shooting, rather than having to press your cheek into the stock just to get a full picture in the scope. Just want to save you from possible headache in the future. If you have any questions, feel free to give me a call at 1-877-547-6873.
