the t 3 ctr has a 20 inch barrel will it be ok for longer range l think the price tag will be 1050 dollars
Question:
Does the CTR have the wide fore-end similar to the T3 Tactical or T3 Varmint or does it have a thiner profile like those on the T3 Hunters?
I have a couple on order too that I am waiting for, these things are as rare as hen's teeth! But worth it in the end I think.
The wider stock is why I am not interested in the varmint. Please PM me his info if he is looking to sell the CTR.Aside (obviously) from the bottom metal/mag inlet, the T3 CTR is different from the T3 Varmint in barrel length, muzzle thread and that wide fore-end attachment. My friend bought a CTR in 308 last year and he bought one of my two Varmint stocks (I made two laminate wood replacements) so that the wide fore-end bit could be attached to his CTR (so it would ride better on the bench rest.) He came to my place last month for a couple days target shooting so I was able to try it... no surprises, it's a typical T3, only different from the Varmint as I already mentioned so it was a fine rifle. If memory serves, surprisingly the CTR is a bit cheaper than the T3 Varmint model.
EDIT: I think he has it for sale now, having splurged on a T3 Sporter in the same caliber.
lots of places are taking orders but nobody is saying if or when they will deliver. I am first on the list with my local gun storeOrdered from where if I may ask![]()

Wolverine, grouse river, Italian sporting goods all had them but no set trigger versions. There is a sponsor on GCN that had one in stock 2 times this year...both time they were sold out within days.

who else had them?
Man you must be in love with that set trigger. I bet you have posted about it 20 times.
The factory tikka trigger is fine. Plenty light.
to each their own, In Europe a set trigger is far more common than direct or adjustable triggers on hunting rifles which would be my use for the CTR after I rebarrel it.The set trigger sucks btw..

Having the option of selecting a light trigger pull at will in the field is far more useful and safer than having an adjustable trigger adjusted to less than a lb at all times.
It is an option for the rifle, just nobody seems to stock/order it that way in North AmericaGetting a factory installed single set trigger might take getting a new model number created.
