Tikka T3 sporter

Couple of them on the shelf in GP at Bartons in the 6.5x55 caliber.

Not any more,my hunting partner bought one of them today, and when he called, he was told that it was the last one they had. I am looking forward to helping develop loads for it.

Ya I didn't think they would be around for to long. Almost bought one last week but have a couple other projects on order there so held off. Sure felt good though.

I was thinking about getting one of these or a varmint in 6.5x55. Do you know if you can get near the lands with 140`s and still load from the mag? I wasn`t able to with my 260 or 308 without some modification.

what is you Overal length of the Cartridge?, I am sure that with that much Varget, the speed would be some where around 2700fps in a 260rem.

260 with 45gr of H4831 and a 140gr Berger VLD will give 2800+

That seems like a pretty stout load of Varget for a 140gr bullet.

Absolutely, borderline insanity. From loading tables and internet recipes, I've never encountered anybody using more than 39gr of varget behind a 140 gr bullet. I've been using up to 46 gr of 4831sc in my 260 tikka with no pressure signs using nosler brass. Never chronied it though, but would be happy if it was reaching velocities over 2700 fps.
