Tikka T3

Looking for opinions on the T3 stainless synthetic (LH) in .308. How do they shoot. I'm looking for an all weather LH bolt gun that shoots well to 600M if I do my part. Any info and opinions would be appreciated

I had one in .308 that shot moa or better all the time, with any ammo. The only reason I sold it, was to get a Sako finnlight in .308.

I have a Tikka T3 Lite in .308, albeit blue RH, I just bought and really really like it.

2 things to consider:
1. If you intend to put on a bipod, do yourself a favor and buy a screw & nut front swivel stud and put it in - the factory pulled out of the synthetic fairly easy.
2. Additional mags are quite expensive. They are plastic but so far seem to be durable.

yes, I mounted a bipod and it stript it. I was pretty disapointed. The mags are very, very tough... dont know why they are so expensive though.

I have a blued RH in 22-250 annd 7mm-08 they both shoot half MOA and likely better if I could do better on my end.

Now I just need to figure out the mount and optics. Looking forward to getting this puppy. There's a moose waiting for her somewhere.

Strongly recommend Leupold rings if you can get them. Leupold torx screws make a lot of sense and I have had no problems with unlike the hex screws on other makes. I have an Elite 3200 on my T3. Overall, very happy with the set up.

Mounting Optics

Now I just need to figure out the mount and optics. Looking forward to getting this puppy. There's a moose waiting for her somewhere.

I went with a Near Mfg 20 moa base, with a pair of TPS rings, rock solid! but pretty expensive.

I was planning on TPS rings, and have been looking for a one piece base. Thanks for the info.
