Hi anyone know where I can pick up a 22-250 T3X in 1/8" twist?
They did make a speical run of them.
In Canada please

They were a special run done for Whittaker’s in the states, never imported to Canada. You’ll have to find one state side and have it imported through someone like prophet River. If it were me I’d look for an inexpensive used tikka and rebarrel it.
 
Bolt face, rechamber, new mag and bolt stop....New barrel makes more sense to me because then you get a brand new one of your choice in whatever twist you desire and you can start with a cheap beater donor instead of paying 1200 for a new 223 to offset the cost.

Unless you’re heavily invested in 22-250 components then it makes no sense to do anything but 22 creedmoor at that point too.

It’s a slippery slope! :)
 
Proof Research makes a Tikka factory contour .224" 1:8, item# 114780, around $550CDN

I keep thinking of one of these, because I have a good stack of 22-250 factory ammo

We just inquired with Stoeger Canada and there MAY be Tikka .22-250's coming out in 8" as a regular item. My rep will find out. If not, he said we can do a special run (require 350 rifles) and we may look at that. Takes about 6 months if COVID doesn't slow things again.
 
Soo the prrof research barrel will have the chamber cut in 22-250? Headspacing will have to be done plus crowned.
My gunsmith with still charge me $200 to do the job I'm guessing.
Just as well of with any aftermarket blank?? No

no, it will need to be chambered. They make a chambered prefit but only in 223

tikka contour will just make for drop in bedding

Lean on them for it, hopefully its throated long. I'll put 50% down today for a spot :)
