Title removed

I would suggest that those interested send an e-mail to dlask with your name, address and phone number. I would even go as far as to put down a "deposit" to pre-order if they required one.

I wouldn't base an order on "OK, I'll buy one" on an internet forum. Nobody wants to get stuck with 1500 shotguns, no matter how inexpensive they are. Thats a serious amount of $$$.

I don't know. But Chris (CanAm) is getting 12.5 inch barrel Remmy by the end of this month.

I am laying down a warning to all those posting unnecessary insults. Stop them right now and get back on topic.

I looked back for a bit and sor some reason I can't find what I would consider unnecessary insults (or even necessary insults for that matter). Are you talking about:
To appeal to the desired demographic (cheap buggers), you'd need to keep the cost to the lower range of your estimate ($149) as your main competition will be new Maverick 88's at $200 as well as the used market.
I don't consider this particularly offensive. If anything I think it is an accurate read of many of the target customer base for this type of gun. It’s a gun with almost no practical purpose. Given that I would not want to throw down a lot of cash for one.

I believe the warning was in regards to some of the negative comments about Dlask not responding to this thread (which Dlask started) - CGN is pretty protective of their contributing dealers.

Anyhoo. I'm kinda stuck on the fence now. I'm only interested in the 8.5" pistol gripped shotty if it's deemed non-restricted otherwise I might as well get the more useful HP9. I understand why Dlask can't guarantee an answer on that determination until the court thing get's settled, but I'm not going to commit to buying a shotgun that may fall under the restricted class. :(

Depending on the configuration it does not meet the legal definition of a prohibited or a restricted firearm. That is based on the current law. Even as restricted it would be a great house gun. Of course I would have to clean it often. ;)

Well, I've decided:

I will take a 8.5" pistol grip.

I will take a mag fed gun around 12.5".

Honestly, I can afford to have a $150-200 gun reclassified as restricted.

the 12.5" Remmy will also be a clone, as I understand it.

I wish some of the clones would make a STEEL trigger unit for the 870. I'd buy one just to get a steel trigger guard (I hate aluminum)

IF these guns haven't been shipped yet there is very little possibility of getting them before the bill c10(?) marking program of Dec.01(?)2007 .
The proposed cost of marking each gun is more than the speculated price of each gun .
So it appears to me that price is not the main concern , availability is .
Supply and demand .
The demand seems fairly obvious to me .
The ability to supply at these prices , that far into the future is of concern to me .
But either way now I know where they are coming from .

Normally I am the guy who is responsible for this - I don't think Sparhawk uses the word "insult" correctly. He is specifically pointing to guys who complained about "bad" service, especially one of the guys who did it is a dealer himslef.

It is not very polite to jump into someone's thread and called people out - it is like jumping into other people store and tell the customers their service is ####. In real life, you will get punched in the face, especially if you are selling stuff yourself too. You don't go to a hotdog stand to yell "bad hot dogs" while you sell hotdogs yourself. You will get a beating for sure.

If you would like to complain about bad service with real facts and legitimate reason, have the manner and courtesy to start another thread. If you don't like a store, you will talk #### outside of the store, not INSIDE. THis is manner 101 and the rule of a courteous society.

Keep these commie shot guns in China. We don't need them here.
Thanks for your constructive addition to this thread. Have you written a letter to your MP about the new marking law? Because if it goes through we might ONLY have guns from China coming into Canada.

Buddy, don't feed the troll!

Lucky for you though, you'd make a crap load of money if the only guns that came in were from China. ;)

BTW, come pick up your job!
