TNW – Tavor – Norinco Type 97

I would be very interested in a Suomi build kit.

At least if you built it yourself, the welds would be done properly. Have you seen the video where the barrel fell off just after firing a few rounds.

I was thinking on buying a few TNW made guns but I think I might reconsider.

Some of them have problems with the bolts and hammers not hitting lots of problems just sloppy work really. Not a bad rifle though if you could use the 36 rounds it be cool but 5 does get old over time... If its between a JR carbine and the Suomi get the JR.

Geez, I have to calm the **** down and edit my want list here.
No two ways about it, I'm going to have to buy my wife a lot of useless crap to make up for the buys I'm going to make.

Have the PPSH-41 been converted to closed bolt? If so, I've heard they are notorious for soft-strikes on 7.62x25, similar to the closed-bolt PPSH-43's that are sold in the States.

I would assume so b/c it is made by a manufacturer in the states. In 1982 the ATF made a ruling that open bolt guns are easily convertible to fully automatic.

I imagine these will be around $1000 given that the US price is about $800.

Any news on these?

Any word on if the Tavors coming into Canada might be produced in FDE or OD in the not-too-distant future? The US right out of the box are getting the FDE versions, and it expected the OD will follow within the year.
