To buy or not to buy 92fs?

I've tried the Glock, Sig, and CZ Shadow. I always come back to the 92FS, even for IPSC (though obviously it's not an ideal gun for IPSC). Totally reliable. During IPSC competitions I always see one or two people in my squads with gun issues (jam, FTE, mags that don't sit properly, etc) . It's never happened to me once with my 92FS (the only "technical" issue is my lack of skill LOL).

And the Inox version is the best looking gun of the main production guns.

Get the 92FS.

It's my very first pistol - I haven't shot it yet but based on my research (reason for getting it), it's accurate and reliable. The Bruniton finish on the black M92FS is very nice.

The M92FS has a very easy take down - super easy.

I wanted a 92fs inox well forever , i purchased 4 others first just because of price points
for some maybe this is not expensive for me it is . so i saved and saved and finally got it
had to get a full length rod and a short pull trigger kit and IMHO she is perfect except maybe some fancier grips
go for it i say this fine firearm will never depreciate its a sound investment unless the tin foil hat starts quivering " just noticed start date of thread guess we will never know"

There are a # of retailers offering the 92S model, the Italian milsurp.

Think there are a few different grades available.

It could be a lower-cost option to try it out.

Does anyone where to buy mags for these at a reasonable price?
Wanstalls and HiCal usually have Magazines available. (Where I got mine.)

Mec-Gar, Beretta and ProMag (promags dont act right in the Girsan models.

Failure to lock slide back and at times follower has over travel and locks up the pistol, not an issue in Beretta pistols tho.

Gatehouse and myself have tried almost all magazine combinations with these pistols so we know what works best.

Lot of new US military surplus parts available to keep the gun going for ever. I have a collection of 92 pistols.
92 and 92s israeli issue guns in mint condition etc Great guns

Damn....I sort of want one again.

I had a 92FS but sold it years ago to a buddy because it didn't group as well as some of my other pistols.

I kind of want to give it a try again, see if it was me or the pistol, or the ammo. I didn't exactly try a variety of ammo through it, just shot a few boxes of PMC and that's it.

When I had mine a few years ago, I challenged a retired US SF friend to shoot it as best as he could group it and to take his time. He put 10 rds into one hole at 10yds.
I shoulda kept that target as I could not believe it myself!
