All the dealers posting LEgal FOR SALE now on all these 'missed items are kidding us all. Why they left out stuff dont kid yourself they will soon be added on and when they get the list done they will move on pistols/municipality BS, they are all in now nothing to lose money to spend
 
The Mowhawks - Akwesasne have been under Canadian Military Counter Intelligence surveillance working with US Homeland security because of terrorist threats and smuggling of just about anything including a very profitable cigarette business and weapons smuggling. With parts of these reserves in Canada and the US it's pretty easy for them. This is one of the major firearm smuggling routes. One report said " We were going to go in and clean up , confiscate illegal weapons" etc but our government declined to act due to fears of causing an Indigenous up rising. But these guys can still own the guns that were banned today. ........ you know , for deer hunting.

Exactly....and big THANKS for having such a government goes to:
all those (including many legal firearms owners) who either directly voted for such a government or indirectly helped this government to be elected - by splitting votes, not participating in an election, fighting between each other, bringing up issues from the past as an excuse not to vote on the only Party which was supporting us and had a chance of winning a majority, not supporting pro gun organizations, etc, etc, etc. A nation of fools.

This is what said it all to me. The Canadian gov has always introduced radical change in doses. The first dose to test out reactions and see what they can get away with in the following stages. This is where OUR reactions matter the most. If we all act like the meek little Canadians that do no more than ##### in forums and our follow up is reduced to hypotheticals and no more than a petition by the overwhelming majority, then the next stages will be what we fear the most. A ban on ALL semi-automatic, modular, black looking rifles, shotguns and then ALL pistols regardless of the actions.

There have been some extremely valuable sources of information on what we can do in response to this current list of prohibs that EVERYONE needs to read, educate themselves with and take action with the tools available to us with the courts, not handing over anything voluntarily when we don't have to, not participating in the hypotheticals "fair buy back" program, filing the appropriate applications with the courts when receiving written orders to turn over anything in our possessions and keeping ourselves active in gaining and sharing REAL information about developments and options available to us to fight back.

The moment ANY of us content ourselves with merely #####ing on forums, but laying down and doing not doing EVERYTHING we can with our legal options to contest the government's directions, we ALL pay the consequences of ignorance and laziness during these crucial times for ACTION.

Stay informed, stay together, be responsible in doing your part, educate as much of the public as possible regarding the truth about the firearms, magazine limits, experts' stances on how this travesty fails to address the real issues of who are committing these crimes of concern and with firearms that are not representative of the ones owned legally by licenced, law abiding Canadians and educate yourself, then everyone else you can about the factual data that shows who are committing crimes with firearms and just as importantly, what population DO NOT have a history of using ANY firearm to cause harm to others.

We all know that we are in the right. That we lose no risk to the public, therefore our firearms of any kind pose no risk in being used for the actions we are being held responsible for, to the point of our government circumventing our democratic process to arbitrarily strip is of our possessions and rights. All of the things we are being punished for based on ignorance, false agendas, abuse of power and feeding lies to the ignorant masses that fall for fear mongering and manipulative practices by the sick bastards THEY elected to look out for our country's TRUE best interests.

Solidarity brothers and sisters, we CAN make a difference if we want to. We just can't rest on our usual way of reacting to news of the government taking away from us what they have no REAL reasons to move forward on.

In the past, step one: announce a new 13% GST coming into affect. Step two: wait for the people to react and gauge what they can get away with "now and in the future". When the reaction was "strong" but open to manipulation, the gov came back with a counter of 6%, pretending to do so based on demands made by the people, versus their ACTUAL tactics of "Ask for 'everything' when you only want 'something' and the people will feel relieved and empowered by accepting our original figures we were hoping for without their knowledge". If we take a stand and say "NO MORE" then we are fools for accepting what we should have the good sense to refuse. We can only DEMAND that this whole travesty be repealed, while still moving forward to address the rest of the ridiculous prohibitions forced on us with insane, confusing and non-sensical firearms laws that arbitrarily ban us from using wrongly classified firearms that number in the thousands! Let's not be lambs led to slaughter based on ignorance, laziness, inaction or failing to learn from the past.
