I Actually read the entire document , and while doing so felt my intelligence and pride as a law abiding canadian citizen diminish. Could someone with more technical expertise please explain to me what a "semi- automatic action with a sustained rate of fire capability (tactical/military design with large magazine capacity )" . In regular terms i understand that to be a full auto military weapon which is alteady prohibited. I am also glad that regular civilians like myself cannot purchase a grenade launcher or rocket propelled grenade launcher i feel much safer now , thank you Mr. Trudeau!!

Divide and conquer

There is a deliberate effort to link the firearm to the illegal use, to tragedies, to violence against women and racial intolerance.

There is a deliberate effort to portray the firearms as for single NON HUNTING purposes and emotional visual perception of violence through imagery.

The CBC visuals used especially.

If they need to show a Mini 14 only synthetic ones not wood stocks.

Same for the rest.

Only AR M-16 etc style. Never the M-14 which on Google images shows up as a wooden stock semi automatic similar to a hunting rifle.

Not a black or green rifle.

Visual is extremely important and it is clear what the CBC wants the soccer moms to see.

Scary stuff that does not look like it is for hunting.

You never see this...............

The issues with the CBC coverage go much deeper.

There is deliberate use of video ONLY of firearms that do not have wood furniture.

The deliberate choice is to portray the same firearms without wooden stocks to make them appear as prejudicial as possible

And so they do not give the impression of hunting.

The CBC does not show single firearms.

It does not show a farmer with an Mini 14.

It only shows a selected pan of a wall of black ARs

The CBC is purely the propaganda arm of the Liberal party.

I told my friends the day after the NS shootings it will be like the burning of the Reichstag that Hitler used to solidify his power.
One of the networks mentioned about extending the freeze on the guns instead of a buyback.
 
There is one section in the new law that states as a general rule , deactivation, is a method by which you can use to dispose the prohibited firearm. Once deactivated the firearm is considered disposed and you are in compliance of the new law.

I mean, at least keep it quiet so we can enjoy them for now. There’s a list. If its not on the list, why ask why its not on the list? Put your big boy pants on and just follow the list. I cant stand the people saying “I want to buy gun X, do you think they’re going to ban it? Should I buy one?”... do people hold your hand through every other aspect of your life?

In my riding the Conservative MP (who DID vote for, FYI, after donating the cost of an AR15 to the CPC) won with 80% of the popular vote! So I don't know what's wrong with the rest of the country but we have our heads screwed on straight out here.

Same here, got a DPMS Panther Oracle.
All Panther are listed but this one... unless they include it as an 'any AR'....

But seriously... this is a shame.
If we had 3 attacks made with pick-ups running thru people... would Trudeau ban the F-150 and Dodge Ram cause they were the models used to commit the killings?
Our PM is a real joke.
 
If they missed any of the popular modern sporting rifles rest assured its because they wish to give the community a false sense of security in that maybe not all will be banned, because as long as everyone has that sliver of hope that theyll ease off noone is going to do a damn thing about it

well the ford pickup do advertise that they us "MILITARY GRADE ALUMINIUM" so they will probably be banned

this is a lot more than 80,000 rifles. try 250,000 and you might be in the neighborhood. they absolutely slaughtered gun owners yesterday

Yeah, don't miss the risk mitigation blurb at the bottom where they promise to keep adding models to the list. Anyone surprised that the models not on the list yet are made in Canada in small numbers with limited ability to crank up production?
 
So, I've asked this a couple times. How do we mount our legal offensive?
What firm? individually or as a herd? I saved enough for a nice double rifle to do my bucket list hunt but screw it, I'd rather give it to a knowledgeable legal team that can at least tie this up for a substantial length of time, the 550 will do........

Actually the fact is you could buy a tow or law missile or rpg or many others, not only that they required NO pal or anything, BUT the projectile or missiles are illegal and prohibited so all you own is a useless tube. Now useless tubes are illegal. same as uppers are now illegal so criminals dont put them on an illegal lower...well that makes sense cause anyone getting an illegal lower to commit a crime wont just buy the whole rifle....simply unreal
