Today's Announcement and our follow up

What's the point of grandfathering someone if you are just going to force a deactivation of the prohibited firearm.. from what I understand (correct me if I'm wrong) a deactivated firearm does not require registration... sooo why would I be granted a Prohib license to own a paperweight?

Everyone needs to stop #####ing about this we all need to grow a set of balls and openly tell them #### you there mine and iam keeping them so go #### yourself Then we need to draw a line just like the natives did it’s sad that because most of government seats are in Ontario and Quebec they dictate what the whole country can do it’s time for a change lady’s and gentlemen we need to draw a hard line and iam thinking the line needs to be Ontario and Manitoba border #### the east they want to be gun free let them have it I no longer wish to stay in Ontario my house is getting listed for sale first thing Monday and takeing the plunge and heading west it’s truly where I have wanted to be last 20 years anyways

There's like literally nothing else to do right now. There's got to be a protest forming, yeah? Toronto or Ottawa, please? I'll do either. This is a turning point in human history and it can't go ahead without the loudest response ever. Please someone organize, I do not have the networking skills or relationships in place to get anything off the ground.

But there are 5 of us willing to go wherever, right now, social distancing be damned.

Is it just me or did they ban TOW rocket launchers, mortars, and anti tank rifles, but not the SKS? Did Justin give this assignment to his youngest child to develop? What’s with that? Derya MK12 is okay but but a .50 BMG is a risk to public safety? I’m not complaining it just feels even less logic based than the 0% it was when we didn’t have the list.

They just played Call of Duty and games like that. Got the list from there.

I think we should initiate a class action to challenge this.

In a country where they can just re-write laws, trying to fight in the courts is pointless. Also, with the media controlling the narrative, trying to fight in the court of public opinion is also pretty pointless as the majority are pumped full of propaganda. Not saying that the fight is over, but playing with the current set of rules, likely will have us on the heels of New Zealand. Tragic

Dear Mike from canmore. I’m a lolely saskatchtoon firearm enthusiast! Grade A bar none! I’m the perfect bro to have around! Always positive and looking to move forward! Hopefully you too are scanning this column for with disgust. However I won’t go on too much of a tangent. I got money for ammo and I’d love to be your shooting bud, pal, comrade w.e as long as our swords don’t cross! Take care and again my apologies but F TRUDEAU AND HIS BACKDOOR POLITICS

Sounds pretty reasonable to me, to have a plan of legal means to defer or prevent as much of this is as possible. They should be working as one organization right now for the greater good of the community.

all the rocket launchers were available with NO pal needed at all not even NR because the projectiles are illegal thereby its nothing but a tube.so same logic as prohib uppers in case someone get an illegal lower for it...well guess what morons if someone is already committing the crime to get an illegal lower getting an illegal upper is still the same crime and weapon, absolute BS

Did anyone catch this at the bottom of the list;

Other

4 The upper receiver of any firearm referred to in item 87 of Part 1 of this schedule.

87 The firearms of the designs commonly known as the M16, AR-10 and AR-15 rifles and the M4 carbine, and any variants or modified versions of them — other than one referred to in item 47, 49 or 50 of this Part — including the

Who is they?

You know "they" All we need now is the grid co-ordinates of "They")

If we don't run at least a few silly jokes as we do with COVID-19 it can become to much

From Winston Churchill:

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

There is another thread going on about this BS

https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/for...will-require-complete-Deactivation-of-firearm!!

Supposedly Tracey at the CCFR confirmed that deactivation will be required for grandfathering
Apparently it was confirmed at a technical meeting she was at getting details about the ban.

Not true. The exact wording is this:
An option to participate in a grandfathering regime
would also be made available for affected owners. Further
public communications on the buy-back program and the
grandfathering regime will follow later.

In other word, they more or less think about a grandfathering option without knowing too much about how it would work. Same as buyback, the details are punted to "later".
