I was watching a show the other day on how people manage to remove themselves from the gene pool either by freakish bad luck accidents or by outright Darwinian methods.
In one instance a Talibanger sniper took up a position hundreds of yards from his targets in Afghanistan - some oblivious CIA types supposedly. He put the dope on the scope, pulled the trigger on his .50 cal cannon - and sent the bullet on its way.
He missed.
The bullet supposedly hit high on the armoured vehicle behind the men, bounced off a mud hut, and returned along the path from whence it came and sent our taliban friend off to pick his 72 raisins!
I don't believe it anyways. It would be a nice story if it were true though...and if it were true I would probably nominate the shooter for a posthumous Order of Canada medal...! If it were true...it might be said that both God and bullets move in mysterious ways.
