31 at the moment. The climate has been a month behind from what we are typically used to seeing the last couple of years (Oct has become Sept etc.... At least in my location from my personal observations.
It's funny you're posting that....I was just saying to the girlfriend that you couldn't pay me to hunt in weather like this!! Hope it drops a few degrees by October.
It was 22ÂşC here yesterday, but went down to 6ÂşC last night, and at 2:00 PM is still inly 12ÂşC.
That is OK to hunt in, problem being, it has rained pretty hard all day...grr
Eagleye.
As said earlier it is like the months are getting pushed back and seasons are changing, october is the new september. A buddy and I tried coyote hunting the other week and it was wayyy too humid/hot we gave up basically when we got to our stand. (yes I realize its not the optimal time of year to try but we gave it a go anyways).
I cant wait for the cooler weather to come and stay for a couple months!
I've been out a half dozen times or so with the bow. There has been deer coming out every night and feeding right by the stand. They are coming out a bit too late for my liking as I like to have a bit of tracking light. I've got a big 5X5 that has made a couple of appearances as well. Please don't any one tell them that muzzle loader starts soon. I've had deer standing broadside 60 yards or less at least a dozen times in plenty of muzzle loader light.
The heat doesn't seem to be affecting their pattern much. But you all know that Murphy's law say they'll dissapear as soon as they see me coming with a long gun.
BTW KT is Gardner road still flooded after this dry spell. I was up there in Aug for a look around and had a bit of a surprise when I came over the hill.
Yup, it was 30 degrees at 6 o clock last night and it is 11 degrees right now at 5:15 am in Cranbrook. Good bye to cow elk season, BAHHH ! ! ! Humbug! !
I think I will go anyways , just to prove to myself that I should have stayed home and slept in till 10:30 or so.
