I have one on my FS2000 and I like it. I have heard guys complaining about the small objective diameter and so on, bla, bla, bla. Not a problem as far as I am concerned. I really like having the very low end magnification coupled with the option of the 3x for things a little farther away. Is it perfect? No. But I would buy another in a heartbeat if the price was reasonable. ( as in under 900.00) Just my opinion of course.
I like mine, the battery life isn't all that great (but its an etched retical, AND it uses AA's) and its a tad heavy, but when you look at an Aimpoint plus mount, plus magnifier plus mounts, its gonna be less, and its integrated.
The only real downside to it, is that its a little bit finicky about head position and eye relief (the factory mount isn't that great, but if you dont take it off ever its good). But the glass is great, the retical is nice and it looks cool (and its built like a tank).
If you want to get one, just make sure you can get a nice cheek piece (you see some RFB's with foam on them on the net) if its sitting too high, or else the cheek position will drive you crazy!
Not sure if the Ads are still in the EE, but I've seen them (NIB) go for as little as 650, or with a LaRue mount for closer to 750-ish. So depending on how much you want it, 700 seems to be in line.
But considering that's pretty close to the US prices, and how much they went for when you could get them....
They just aren't in demand anymore (aside from guys with very specific tastes ), with stuff like Trijicon, S&B, Nightforce making 1-4 power scopes. The CQT was kind of the "first gen" of the 1-X power scopes - and the integral mount limits it a bit - It got kind of out dated with the newer scopes that came out.
