An airforce buddy's teenage son was taken to the Bonnyville range today.
He is 15 and got to try out for the first time, a Star Model F, a .22 LR semi-automatic pistol, a S&W revolver Model 64-3 in .38 Special, with a six inch barrel, as well as a factory stock, Colt 1991A1 in .45 ACP.
What amazes me, (and I've seen this before with my nephew too) is these computer gamers, really have a quick grasp of basic marksmanship.
By the end, at 10 yards he was keeping all 45 bullets in the black, using the modified Weaver stance?!?!?
He did pretty darn good with the 38 as well. A quick learner this kid.
This is his very first day shooting any kind of handgun.
