I won't do that, promise! Mine are all loaded before I go to the range!
Did see a guy, once upon a time, before the modern stuff was available, loaded all his ammo on a single-stage press AND cast his own slugs. He was one of our local Mounties, back when you could really look up to them and this district was just awful on Saturday Night. Way the law was at that time, if the RCMP caught you for open liquor in the car, of for underage possession (drinking age was 21 and the heaviest drinkers in the area were all under that!), the police only needed ONE bottle to take to court. Of course they kept it all, just in case they were ordered to give the guy back his booze (never happened that I know of). So ALL this booze was saved, there being rules enforced that they couldn't just drink it themselves, and it all was given to Cst. X....... with his homeload ammo, cast bullets and all...... to destroy, as per court order.
So Cst. X would zip off the the dump, there being no range here at that time, line up all the bottles, let them get nice and hot in the midsummer sun........... and then open up with the Model 1940 Thompson and the MP-40.
It was RIGHT impressive, I'll tell you! You'da thought the whole WORLD was made of foam!
BTW, for those interested, Model 1940 Tommy was a very early British contract M-1: only one I ever saw. Sure shot nice.
