There is another thread saying the 6.8s are inbound in several months...when I say 'available' I mean to the Canadian population.

So if I have that right there are a few XCR fans slagging ARs because they are only available in (primarily) a half dozen calibers and yet this thing is only available (so far) in one?

I use complete uppers with Bolt Carriers it take about 10 seconds and it is woth the added cost cost of the upper and easier to manage

I don't doubt the speed one bit. Changing an upper is very quick. Price wise, what is a complete upper worth? Probably a few hundred more than an xcr caliber change kit.

The AR is very versatile and modular. I think the xcr addresses some of the design flaws of the AR. I just recently sold my AR, because it was a safe queen.

If it were non restricted, I would NEVER sell my AR.

You are right the AR is a very versatile and modular platform something the XCR aspires to be but is lacking in the final product

Really do tell the XCR isn't very modular it has poor support system IE parts , it costs more and delivers less on the plus side it has a gas piston. That does nothing to enhance the the operation of the rifle in the conditions that recreational shooters put there rifles thru .I have yet to see any shooters here in Canada dump 5+ 30rnd mags in rapid succession thru there XCR's to enjoy the benefit of the Gas piston System

I am sorry to hear that ,My guns are not safe queens and are abused regularly .I shoot my AR every time I can even though it is on a range so be it .For off range activities I use this it works great a shooting gophers

and is more fun

I think Robarm is working on 6x45, not sure how serious they are about that caliber though.I would buy one of those if they made them available for us. 6.8SPC is nice but I can't find any ammo anywhere.

How can you sit there and say the xcr isn't modular, when it can run upper changes a la AR-15, or a caliber kit as well. It's modularity potential easily surpasses the AR.

Your support worries hold no merit whatsoever. Xcrmonger (terrra from robarm) is here helping people, and addresses any problems. I dunno when I last saw a colt or lmt rep on here.

Robarm used to have crappy customer service. They have agressively started changing that.

I'm glad you like your ARs. If they were non restricted, I wouldn't have sold mine. The xcr is a better gun.

I will agree that Robson arms has done well to improve its image and as a result the XCR has improved from the Sampling of the XCR I saw at Shot Show 4 yrs ago when it looked great from afar but was far from being great or that matter even promising.

The AR platform is the champ of modularity along with its plug and play system and will continue for quite some time. Can you name one other rifle that can shoot 22RF/223/5.45x39/6x45/6.8 spc/6.5 grendel/7.62x39/9mm /10mm/45ACP/450 Beowolf/.458 Soccom and last but not least .50 BMG and a host of other cartridges while utilizing the original Lower receiver.

Not really... but the, "YOU MAY ONLY USE IT AT A CFO APPROVED RANGE," clause is really annoying for a rifle.

Freaking C68...

The best that I could offer would be $1800 if, the seller covers shipping and, throws in a crate of ammo... we could hagel over a free tank of gas or a Timmies gift card, if he a real stickler:D

You can tell it is getting late now, when I was willing to consider 3K if he would promise to wash and wax my car and cut my lawn for the next 3 summers... although, on second thought, I will cut my own grass and save the $1500;)
