Trade Ex M38

Tradex shouldnt advertise as being excellent condition if thats the case. This is clearly not excellent condition. They sell stand alone excellent condition mosins for $169. I have sent an email.

When I looked at their description for the 5 pack they quote as only "Very Good Condition"!

Were did you see the Excellent condition in their advertisement?

Got mine yeaterday:

1944
M44 stock (couple dings an scrapes but it's acceptable)
Bore = excellent

Though I might need to shim the stock as the barrel appeared to wiggle (whole receiver not just the barrel) and appeared loose in the stock. A quick check of the action screws solved my problem. They were rattling loose :)
Tightened and away she went.

Came with mosin tool and oil bottle / cleaning tools.
I was hoping for the ammo pouches and the sling.

(Anyone wanna sell me a sling?)

Overall very pleased for 250 bucks.

Any pics? Damn, I already own these same rifles, (minus the M38, although I do have a pristine laminate M44), and I'm still getting excited about that killer "5 pack" deal Tradex is offering...

And i will join the screw canada post train.

Just checked tracking. I dont get why they tease you with earlier date (dec 24 was orig exp dd.) only to extend that date (to the 27th). Why not do the opposite.. Guess it relates back to traffic at CP.

Happy unboxing everyone.
UPS did the same... I waited home ALL DAY in anticipation as to not miss them. It was clearly marked "delivery by end of day" and left Barrie at 6 this morning. Checked the online tracking, and guess what.... my package is back in Barrie and "delivery by end of day" marked for tomorrow now; when I WONT be home.

Did your street have an inch of snow on it it if so, UPS doesn't like that ... :(

Just picked mine up. 1944 Izhevsk, M38 Wartime Stock, all matching.

Shes a Keeper. If anyone would like to trade handguards, Mine is light colored and I would like a dark coloured one.

DAMN!!! I stopped into SFRC on my way to work today and had to pick up another!!! Got a really nice IZZY 1943 in the proper great condition 38 stock with a great bore and all matching stamped numbers! They have some really great looking ones with either M44 wood stocks, M44 laminate stocks or original M38 stocks. Didn't see any with dates other than 1943 or 1944 from the couple I looked at.

For 239$ its way nicer then I expected. A bit of frost but strong rifling. Also notice it had the high wall receiver.

Now time to find on sling on ebay... lol...

that is a nice set up!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNipvJ40nXI
amazing what a tuned up mosin can do!!!

I watched the video.
That mosin shoots no better than my PU's.
I get it - it's a scout style set up - but for the money all that costs (especially with the leupold) I'd buy the best real PU (refurb) I could find - as the investment will pay off and shoot the same.

To each their own :)

yes you are right!!! lots of money invested in that set up. im just impressed with the accuracy and performance of the mosin!!! in that video.

UPS likes to say no one home when you never left home all day.

I already hate UPS from international shipments and theyre retarded fees. But I called in today to have them leave my package at the Orillia store so I can pick it up - was told they cant until theyve made at least 1 delivery attempt. I told them thats retarded, considering theyre driver had the package in Orillia yesterday, and decided to take it back to Barrie before attempting to deliver it.
And now today, they decided to leave that truck with my package in it, in Barrie and not even bother trying to come to Orillia. So now my package is marked 23rd, by the end of the day; Funny how it started at 19th by the end of day.
