that bore is excellent! Well done. As for the stock... it's an m38! You did well.
Thanks, first mosin nagant of my own so I was unsure of what to expect. All in all I like that it isn't super collector grade so I can shoot and scuff it without feeling bad.
The numbers appear to be matching from all the stuff I've seen.. The only thing of question is the magazine has 2 numbers on it, the 'matching' number is stronger and deeper than the other set.
1940 Tula M38 pics
Here are some pics of my 1940 Tula m38 I got in my five pack from Trade-Ex, my M91/30 was a very nice 1925 Hex Tula with MO markings and both have excellent bores.
Do you realize that 1940 Tula is the rarest M38 you can find?
I got a very nice 1940 dated Tula in a M38 stock and a also very nice 1925 Tula Hex M91/30 in my deal from Trade-Ex!
Maybe you should go buy a Lotto Max ticket!
still "Emergency conditions beyond UPS' control."
I want to cry! When will they be here, the wait is killing me, and all these nice pictures just arent helping.
Does anybody know the story behind the red markings? I have a 91 like this too.I got a 1944 Izhevsk M38

Im 45 minutes from the depot where my package is at, withOUT the option to go pick it up. I called in today, and was advised she has no idea why on Friday it would have been labelled that as we havent got hit with anything overly bad where we are (Barrie or Orillia) aside from a little freezing rain; in which the road conditions were still fine.Mine is suppose to be here on the 27th according to CP but given the terrible winter conditions I would be surprised to see it until sometime after that.

Said it should be out for delivery today, but she cant tell for sure. If it is, I requested it to be brought to the Orillia UPS so I can pick it up myself without having to wait for an incompetent person to do it; its against regulations to allow this without at least an attempt being made first.
How Canada Post is going belly up, and UPS is not is beyond me
My Rifle is coming from Ontario (SFRC) to Halifax but looking at the Weather across the Country and the Ice Storm that just hit I would imagine it would be a hard time getting the Mail through on time.....fingers crossed though.
