Got mine today from sfrc. Asked for the nicest one they had haha.

Mine is an Izhevsk 1943 M38 in an M38 stock.

Stock is rough and some of the metal is almost bare but it is not counter bored and the rifling looks great. When I have time to clean her I will find out if it is dirt or pits.

Crummy cellphone pic of bore.

that bore is excellent! Well done. As for the stock... it's an m38! You did well.

Thanks, first mosin nagant of my own so I was unsure of what to expect. All in all I like that it isn't super collector grade so I can shoot and scuff it without feeling bad.

The numbers appear to be matching from all the stuff I've seen.. The only thing of question is the magazine has 2 numbers on it, the 'matching' number is stronger and deeper than the other set.

Magazine is a replacement, forced match and restamped. no biggy.

still "Emergency conditions beyond UPS' control."
I want to cry! When will they be here, the wait is killing me, and all these nice pictures just arent helping.

Mine is suppose to be here on the 27th according to CP but given the terrible winter conditions I would be surprised to see it until sometime after that.

Im 45 minutes from the depot where my package is at, withOUT the option to go pick it up. I called in today, and was advised she has no idea why on Friday it would have been labelled that as we havent got hit with anything overly bad where we are (Barrie or Orillia) aside from a little freezing rain; in which the road conditions were still fine.

Said it should be out for delivery today, but she cant tell for sure. If it is, I requested it to be brought to the Orillia UPS so I can pick it up myself without having to wait for an incompetent person to do it; its against regulations to allow this without at least an attempt being made first.

How Canada Post is going belly up, and UPS is not is beyond me

My Rifle is coming from Ontario (SFRC) to Halifax but looking at the Weather across the Country and the Ice Storm that just hit I would imagine it would be a hard time getting the Mail through on time.....fingers crossed though.

I'll have my fingers crossed for you too! I sent a rifle out west recently, and the guy got it earlier than expected (even with all the weather Alberta has been getting) - so there is hope! (hopefully same goes for shipping east)
