Has anyone bought the Yugo M57 TT variant from Tradeex? I am looking At getting one or two, ( or three) I though someone said they were military un issued, the add states very good to excellent, and that is all Antony wrote when I emailed. I just wanted to know, as if they were unissued I would get an extra one! I think sfrc and M*****r have similar but from accounts, those were mostly issued and vary a lot in condition!

Tokarev with one more shot capacity in the mag. Bought one from elsewhere. For me it was very fun, not very accurate. Loud as hell; big fireball and snappy. One of the pins in the trigger group always walked out of mine, so the trigger group was hard to remove; mags were very hard to find.. You can do better for not much more; buy a Norinco 1911 or NP 29. You will shoot them better.

Thanks. Got Norc 1911's, lots, love them, and polish toks too , I found they require getting used to but are accurate for a military sidearm, thanks for the info on the trigger group, I will take a look, maybe blue loktite or something. I like the old military firearms. And the quality that went into them and they are cheap, plus the history! Then again, the site we are on says it all, we are gun nuts!:)

I got one of the TradeEx ones, and it was excellent quality, but definitely requires some serious cleaning when you get it. Mine was a solid ball of cosmoline/grease. I could not even remove the mag or move the slide at all, ended up using the mineral spirits method, fully submersing it first for a few hours, and then was able to finally take it apart and properly get all the grease out.

I get quite a few guns from Anthony and most are better than what the description states.
With these, as they all glued up , I don't think he will hand pick, phone him and ask.

Thanks, yea, he says they are very greasy, hope that kept them all in great shape! I was thinking a heat gun to start with, not held too close.

I have bought a bunch of guns and ammo from Tradeex, all good, yes, likely won't hand pick, I looked on the U.S. Sites and the package deal tradeex offers is even a bit cheaper than down there, with the exchange rate. About $212 U.S. For two mags, the M57, a cleaning rod and holster!!

Well, I just ordered 1 from T&T arms, someone on FB mentioned they had a sale, got the last one, would have ordered 3. Will order another tomorrow from Tradeex with holster and a few extra mags! Now, while looking for reviews and infor on the M57, I came across this YouTube video from Classic in the U.S., is there any shop in Canada that have these cool M57?

I bought one in Oct 2017 from Tradex and it was caked in cosmoline. After a really good cleaning, as far as I could tell under close inspection was that it was unissued, unfired, in perfect condition. It is one of my favorite guns to shoot.

$35 tradeex, don't know if there are any cheaper, were hard to find until a couple months ago so I will be buying 3 extra with my order tomorrow!

Yep this is what pretty much everyone is saying, might have a couple storage scratches but don't look issued!

Now I have one coming from T&T, and one from Tradeex, plus 3 extra mags, threw in a 30 cal. Surplus Cleaning kit just because. They should be about the same condition, I figure all the retailers are getting them from the same spot. We will see. If they seem unissued then I will get another from Tradeex! Pics when they arrive.

I picked one up from another dealer last fall. I like the larger size compared to the Russian. Kind of Comparable to a Glock 17 and a Glock 19 for scale of size (not feel or action). This pistol if unissued with have much more "crisp" edges than the Russian though mine is quite accurate though 3cm to the right of centre. It comes with an internal slide lock which the Russian doesn't have. Initially I thought it was jammed just to realize it was a safety feature (or something). The Yugo crest is featured on top of the pistol slide. Its a nice invincible pistol with 9rds of Tokarev, I like it and fits my large hands better.

Tradeex M57 came early, was packed as you see, ha, the mags were stuck to the top flaps, the pistol is what I consider, using NRA specs, very good, would be excellent but for the wear on the bottom of the receiver I obviously haven't cleaned it yet and the slide is glued shut with Cosmo, couldn't get a good look down the pipe either due to Cosmo, they weren't kidding about the amount. In some ways it looks fired, although the wear on the bottom may be from storage the slide where the stop catch is, looks to be a bit rough along the bottomwill know more when cleaned. I will wait till the M57 from T&T comes to compare and clean both at the same time! Gonna take lots of varsol and scotch!!!;)

Forgot to mention that the holster I got was nice dark leather, looks new, no mould etc. Mags look new too and gooey!

The M57 from Tradeex has an "I" at the beginning of the serial # and it dates to around 1966, the one coming from T&T. Has a very low serial#, might even be a first year, it arrives tomorrow and will see if it has a prefix letter or none. Used a little eds red today, just snooping around before the big scrub. I got the slide open and ran a soaked patch through the bore, still mucky but looked good. Can't wait to go elbows deep in the Cosmo and get these puppies cleaned up!

So I just ordered one more from weimajack, hand picked as I wanted one as a collector piece, $20 premium on the tradeex but worth it if it is in excellent shape, I actually got the combo from him too, M57, holster, extra mag., and cleaning rod, for $295. Plus tax and shipping. Most other places are charging $20 more for these anyway. Fingers crossed. He did say he picked two up so he must have one more hand picked left if anyone is looking!
Cheers Bob

They are a sleek looking pistol and great powerful round, lots of fun!
