trading reloaded ammo

You can swap/sell it if you want, but if blow's up someone else's gun the lawyers will have fun making an example of you.

It's bad policy to sell your reloads. Just in case you messed something up. Factory ammo will not blow a weapons that is in good shape. If it does, your lawyer will have a field day and they have insurance for that. You probably do not. On the other hand, if you take cash only, hard to prove YOU provided that one round I guess... just keep in mind what you have to loose over it for a handful of dollar.

Hope that help.

So the reason I ask is because I have over 800 rounds of .38 special that was reloaded by my father for the local law enforcement that was used for practice at the range.

I'll never need that much with only 1 .357 blackhawk .

I was hoping to maybe trade some of it for another pistol, but I dont want anyone hurt or to get into trouble.
Personally I'd use it as an excuse to shoot a lot more myself.
I wouldn't buy or shoot other peoples reloads and wont let strangers shoot mine in unknown firearms.
Best bet may be to make friends with others who shoot 38 spl.
Unfortunately you can't sell completed ammo as components; otherwise you could sell it as "scrap brass" or some such.

Ya thats exactly what iam thinking

if someone is injured and sues you, you will go bankrupt because your insurance will not cover you.
800 rounds would be worth 100-200$ maybe? Are you taking that risk for that amount of money?
I would not.
