Trailer Park Gun Contest

Here is one that i picked up from an estate. wanted the good ones so had to take the ugly as well. The wors part is the other side of the gun is a totally different pattern.

Mind you that model 75 Cooey back there with the chainsaw modifications to the stock pretty much blows mine out of contention :runaway:
 
I think I just received the winner in yesterday's mail. For now, let's just say that the rifle is not very close to the posted description, that most of the metal is pitted and rusty, and the stock has been put back together with glue or epoxy. My gunsmith said, "Oh, my!" when he had a look at it this morning. If the seller does not want his gun back for a refund of my purchase price, then I guess I might get pics posted for others' viewing pleasure.....

And no, I did not buy it from Andy.........

Cooey .410 Custom Fore end.

Here's my precious entry,
I don't use it much, maybe 3.5 years ago I shot it last.
Cooey Model 84 single shot .410, prefect for the trailer park post, it's small, quiet (it goes pop rather than bang or ka-boom), and the price was $25.
As you can see the fore end was my 30 minute, inexpensive custom job.
The zap straps can be used as a leading sighting system (just move one or both to which ever side you want), works for me rather well.
To take it apart just slide the zaps forward and she falls apart for ya, the fore end is made from a piece of red cedar from the wood shed, as I couldn't find a proper one at the time and still haven't, (no need to look this one works fine for what it is).
Note the candle beneath that is my trailer park gun rest also.(ha Ha)
Even has a trailer park custom sort of stainless finish with a bit of mold on the rear stock (hard to see).
She's a beaut isn't she?

My first entry!
Turk Mauser I swaped a set of dado saw blades for. It already wore that stock with the cheekpiece on both sides and it had a 28" bull barrel chambered in 22/250. Barrel was shotttttt out. I had another barrel that fell off of a Remington varmint rifle years ago when it was replaced with a Hart in 6BR that a buddy built. I got it added in a another swap for my Sako 375. Cut 'er back and rehambered it in 22/284 with Mauser threads. The Timney that came with it had a crack in the frame but the glass bed'n done fixed 'er up.
Stone gaurd for the base coat and Krylon Camo for the finish. Butt plate don't fit but it's functional. Ifn I keep 'em under 4000 she'll make a raggity hole at a hunert with 55ers
And yup thems weeds in the background and that is a woodpile too

Mine was the guy that said he would give a rifle to someone who found him a part for a outboard boat engine, I contacted him and said I'll find the part but did not want the rifle. I contacted him a couple of days later and said I was getting the part and he said he already got one. I ended up eating the cost of it. Oh well live and let live, but never forget.

Just out of idle curiosity, abman, was that me? And if so, is that why you sold me the two old Marlins with all of the home-made parts and other problems that you never disclosed? :confused:

Just curious. Like you say, live and let live, but never forget...... :cool:
