Training interest in pistol and carbine

Ok, I've been giving this a ton of thought and I believe that it is time that I ramped up and offered more training.

I'm wondering if there would be any interest in tactical pistol and carbine courses in Ontario (or wherever). I have put on a couple of carbine courses that were successful and catered mostly to beginners but I am thinking of turning that up a notch. I'm even thinking of a tactical shotgun course but that is resource dependent (i.e. I need a range with lots of steel!)

So, if I was willing to set up courses, who would want them and where?

For those who don't know me, I'm ex OPP and I was a use for force, firearms and specilaized instructor for quite a few years with them, I was also an instructor for the nuclear response teams in firearms, use of force and tactics. I was also an adjunct instructor for the Sigarms Academy. I'm still a certified police use of force and firearms instructor.

So, is there any interest and what would you like to see?

I'm in.

I'd be very interested in any course you would conduct in Ontario. I'll offer whatever help I can.

Cheers, Will

Rifle and shotgun course in GTA area would be great. Though maybe later Summer, because the Spring match schedule is rather tight. :)

Now that's a silly question :)

Where do I sign up?, when can I come ? Which way do I go, which way do I go :runaway: and how much ammo do I need ? oh ya how many guns do I bring. Sniper rifle check, carbine check, shotgun check and handgun check. F-18 on order, tank don't got will a ford half ton do. :dancingbanana:

Your my new best friend.

I thought a Ford half ton was a tank?

Ok, I can bring this to whichever range would be willing to give up a range for a day or two. If it's a longer trip, we can do a day of handgun and a day of carbine. I'll tweak some drills and skills and we'll have at it.

I was thinking $125/person per day for the basic courses and for more dynamic stuff the price may rise slightly.

Round count will be approx 400 to 500 per day.

Pistol courses will focus on fundamentals and then into draws, mag changes of various types, positional shooting, movement, use of cover, multiple target engagements, team drills. :pirate:

If an agency wants, I can tweak to their needs as I have a background in police instruction, tac (SWAT), special services and executive protection.

Please, oh PLEASE give me enough lead time to get T/O!!!!

I don't think I'd travel to Ottawa, but anywhere West of Toronto, I'd give it a go with reasonable advanced warning.

I'd be more interested in a pistol/shotgun, but wouldn't turn down a carbine course either.

Keep us informed please. :)
