Transfer times

I just did 2 transfers this week in Alberta and both were done within the same day. STATT took 5 mins from phone call to in my email inbox....

So heres the update on my three latest transfers lol. Once they hit four and a half weeks again I decided to call the Ontario Ombudsmen on the advice of a fellow CGN member and good friend. Well it was sure worth the time, I called them and and in about fifteen mins they took my info and started a file. I then recieved a call about a half hour later saying that they spoke to the CFO and my transfers would be completed the following day. So I called the CFO the next day to verify that the transfers had been done and they had not. I then received three email from the CFO the next morning with all three transfers appoved.

Cheers,
Evan
Thanks for the advise , I will do the same. Here is the link for the site http://www.ombudsman.on.ca/Home.aspx

I'm in BC, its now on its second week, and still counting...:(

I was at about week 3 and on some advice i found in another thread I called the BC CFO. They completed the transfer while I was on the phone, emailed me the STATT and faxed it to the store. Don't bother calling the CFC to check the status they just tell you it's with the CFO. Call the CFO directly.

I notice you are in Maple Ridge, your other option is to go there in person. I was working out in Surrey so I did my first one in person. It took about 10 min.

I have been waiting a month for a private transfer to be approved by the BC CFO, the longest time so far. I tried calling them, apparently they don't even answer the phone anymore - I gave up after more than 1/2 hour on hold. Even after they finally get around to approval, it will be another week before the notification of transfer arrives in the mail from the CFC.

It looks 5 to 6 weeks is now becoming the norm for the BC CFO.

Thanks..I will call BC CFO to settle this, called them Friday to apply for LTATT, got it 2 hours later via email.

and im also on the more than a week wait from the BC CFO for just transfer approval, boat.

Did another one a week before this one, took 5 business days for the approval to reach me in the mail, so must be some large intake in that time.

This one, initiated on the 17th of may, is still not approved and I just called the CFC to have them tell me they are not authorized to provide me with a time estimate due to backlog, and to just call again in a week or so to see if its been approved. 15 business days.. Heres to hoping it gets approved tomorrow..

On the end of November had transfer from Toronto to Toronto in 5 business days. Had to call the CFO and promise to complain, than asked for deal .The same day they approved it. From the beginning of the conversation the clerk told me it suppose to take 10-14 bus.days.
