transporting restricted rifles

Soft cases are legal if you can padlock the zippers. Gun store here sells the ones that work. It's the trigger lock that is important.

Soft case with cheap suitcase combo lock.
Trans-border and local transport.

No sleep lost.

That is exactly how I transport my restricted rifle. No trans border travel with it but lots of local travel.

There is case law out there (not zipper bags but it was a case where someone did break into the container) and the judge in that case ruled that if a person had to use a tool, the it was "not easy" but if it could be done without a tool, ie: with your hands, then it was "easily" The judge gave a specific example that if it required a knife or a screwdriver or pliers, then it wasn't easy.

I'm not disputing you, but if you can recall the name of the defendant, it would be great to have that case law on hand... just in case... Don't want to waste money having a lawyer search for it.
