Travis Haley's Opinion of the Tavor . . .

Cool, seems like he liked it. I think that's as much enthusiasm as you are going to get from Travis. :)

It'll be interesting to see the tavor in wide usage down south...
I love the ergos and balance, but the trigger, it's one of the worst I've ever used.
Just can't get past that.

Your not the only one ;)

Great video though, I always love listening to Travis' insights.

What about when some US gunsmiths start producing custom triggers? :D

I'll venture a wild guess and say that due to the inerrant mechanical design of bullpups things won't change so significantly that Tavor owners will end up with 2-stage competition match triggers.

Perhaps TVP you can give some insights as to the how different the US made are from the IWI (trigger group that is), but I think the above still stands.

Off-topic sorry gents - I love that from all the kit he could be using - he got a Canadian made Arcteryx jacket.

Also very impressed with his MAG changes! They look so completely different from your standard AK/AR platform... that was one thing that always scared me from making the jump.

How much was he paid?

They just tripled their sales by paying him to drool over it.

$5, 000? $10, 000 $20, 000? What does Travis cost nowadays?

Uhhh.

That's Tim from MAC interviewing him.

So I guess Travis got paid the $700 or whatever it is for MAC to take his adaptive carbine course.

I know Tim paid IWI US $1800 for his Tavor that was offered to media as a special pre-purchase at Shot Show.

As far as I know IWI doesn't pay MAC anything. Same way they don't pay me anything. And I doubt they paid Travis Haley for 30 seconds starting with "bullpups suck" :p

The Alpha LT is one of the greatest jackets ever made. I have the same one in Wolf and it's seriously hands down my favorite shell. And yes, hand made in Canada too.

The LEAF products are all made in Canada - at least i'm 95% sure of that.

You would be only partially correct in that.

Saw majority of the beta and alpha lines were made in china now... Kinda sad you need to pay $500 for made in china stuff.

This is incorrect, all Arc'teryx Gore-Tex products are manufactured at the factory Vancouver BC, even NON leaf stuff.

A lot of arcteryx items are made in china now.

This is true, a lot of their products are made overseas. What has happened is with the high demand for their products, there just aren't enough skilled laborers here in BC to keep up with the demand. This happens often when a small company makes products in country and then get's really popular. What they do is source out to country's where being a seamstress is a common profession (like China) and then increase their Inspection process and quality control, on this end. Which is also why we now see LEAF factory seconds, which never came out before they sourced to China

Yup, but a lot of their top end stuff is still made in Canada.

Correct.

I have normal arcteryx and LEAF stuff that's also made in Thailand. Depends on the piece. My sphinx top/bottom is Canadian but Talos top/bottom is Thailand. Combat jacket is China but Alpha LT is Canadian.

I'm fairly certain though that all of the materials used in the LEAF lines are made in Canada or the US do they still qualify as berry compliant.
