Trijocon Accupower 1-8x28mm Variable Optic

This is like a week old news :p Apparently they are available in the US at some stores and retail at $1445 US. Gonna be pricey up here but a way cool optic.

Ugh how.... 1-8x's are so expensive, especially with the exchange now... .. I've shot with #### from trijicon a few times and they seem like a great company.... Would like to see one up close

This is going to be around the price of the Vortex Razor HD 1-6x... they actually told me they priced it too low.

Keep in mind Leupold Mk8 1-8x is $4k USD...

I have one coming my way...

That's a crazy price for the Leupold...A canadian retailer recently had the Swaro 1-8x for around $2700 as a I recall.

The Sworvski 1-8x is more of a hunting scope compare to the Trijicon which they designed for 3Gun. And Trijicon has 34mm tube with larger 28mm objective and it should still be cheaper.

Don't tell the 3 gun guys that.... The swaro 1-6 has a huge following in 3 gun... Though I've not seen the 1-8

Any feedback/reviews on this? I'm considering this vs the Primary Arms 1-8x platinum.
My experience with the VCOG makes me think that this reticle will be fat at 8x zoom and obscure the target.
I would much prefer if the center was a dot or a German post type of thing.

The reticle is very thin at 8x for precise shots but also very easy to see at 1x for CQB.

There's a dozen reviews on youtube.

I haven't seen anything that indicate a very fine reticle at 8x.

This is a post I found on scout.com
"I just received my sample and am looking forward to spending a lot of time with it at the range. First impressions, nice scope, good glass and solid turrets/clicks. The reticle being FFP gets a little too large at 8x IMO, the circle gets big but that's the nature of the beast. The illumination is daylight visible, but not red dot bright or as bright as my Vortex 1-6 or Swaro. I will be putting in a new battery and timing the battery life of setting 9 or 10, it goes to 11 I think. I'm going to be reviewing this from my prospective as a patrol/marksman rifle, I'm not a sniper by any means, just a rural patrol cop and sometimes 3 gunner. "

My VCOG reticle used to completely cover the target at 200 yards. Seeing as how they are both using the segmented circle reticle, im concerned that the accupower 1-8x might have similar effect.

I looked through it at SHOT 2 weeks back.

How big is your target? This has the segmented circle reticle instead of the horseshoe on the 1-6x. Take a look at it on their website.

Is your's arriving soon? I'd be very interested to see a pic down the tube at 8x zoom while aiming at a target.
