Tritium Night Sights

Someone will probably get mad at me for saying this, but the reason that some people purchase night sights: Even though home defense is de facto illegal, some people plan on using their handgun for home defense should the unlikely need arise.

The elephant in the room is that a lot of Canadians own guns for self defense. They might be avid recreational shooters, belong to a shooting club, be lifelong hunters, and go all politically correct on anyone who would suggest otherwise... but deep down, maybe even only subconsciously, they recognize that a gun can be used for self-defense and prepare as such.

Tritium sights will help them shoot in the dark, such as during a home defense scenario.

So... if I want a tank, I plan on using it? Must I justify hiking boots, if I am just going for a walk? Does the fact that I do not intend on having a fire, stop me from buying a fire extinguisher?
Do you question people's jewelry? After all, it serves no purpose...

Hands down best answer here. If I want to tattoo night sights on my d*ck I shouldn't have to offer an explanation why other than I have the money and want to do it.

What's the reason that people put tritium night sights on a handgun? It's not like anyone really shoots in the dark. At least I never do.

If you don't ever shoot in the dark you don't need night sights at all.

Is this thread about why you don't have night sights, or about why others do have night sights? Because the answer should be pretty apparent to you, considering you seem to be aware that the reason you don't need them is that you don't shoot in the dark.

Some of us can, will, and do shoot in the dark. I have a hard time believing that needed saying, but there you go.

I was just kind of referring to Canada where you are not allowed to carry or hunt with them. So basically I guess my point is, are they just a waste of money or just a cool factor to have them. Myself, I would rather spend the money on something else.

**shrugs** My sig came with them from the factory. No complaints. Neat to look at in a darkened room.

Hope I never have to need them.
Hope I have them in the highly unlikely event that I do need them.

Like spinners on lowriders, they look cool to some, and for others perform the wonderful function of attracting ho's.

What?.. WHAT?! I've gotta go shopping!

Things to get today:
1. Spinners for the truck
2. Axe body spray
3. Tritium sights
4. Ho's!

(How the hell do you write the plural of "ho"??)
