My guess would be that some RL22 might give you more speed. I would also try different brass...Winchester is always my preferred brand but if you could lay hands on Norma or Nosler it would be worth a try. I'd also try Federal 215 primers.

Have you ever gotten legit 300WM speeds out of that rifle? I wonder if, perhaps, you got a barrel from the tail end of the boring bit's life and it's a hair tight. Could explain premature pressure signs. Would have to be some tight though.

With light for caliber bullets im getting expected speeds. 180 and 200gr loads are always slower than maunal suggestions

I use both winchester and prvi brass. The ww brass is from winchester grey box factory loads i bought to shoot off just for the brass as i couldnt find any at the time

sorry i have been away but finally got my load with the 280 and the TBT. Im really happy with these bullets. there not fussy at all to load for i didn't find... I settled on 54.8gr of IMR 4831. Still no signs of pressure and as stated before I'm getting 2880FPS in my Rem 700 Classic with the 9.25" twist 22" tube. This load i just tested today @ 30 deg and put 5 into an inch off a bipod and sandbags. 9 power bushnell Bone Collector 600 DOA scope. Cant wait to see how these perform on deer and moose as i have no doubt this is a bullet worthy of the task.

I would try RL22 and H1000. Does the bore copper foul badly?

Well doing this load development i have go threw 35 of these so its to early for me to tell, but by the eye there is nothing looking outta the normal. I am curious as to how bad they will foul a barrel and how quick with that nickle plating... they sure look pretty but is it really worth it??? So im keeping a close eye.. It would be nice to here from others with more experience on this

There is a thread on here I believe where a fellow was struggling with removing the fouling from these bullets.
The product that he found worked the best was scrubbing with good old Hoppes No. 9 solvent.

The first thing I would check is the cartridge case length, if that checks out, I would try the same load with a different bullet of equal weight, perhaps these bullets have hard jackets. If the situation persists, get some H-4831, R-22, or some H-1000, perhaps you got a lot of IMR-4831 that was on the fast side, but even 4350 produces decent velocities in a .300 before pressure becomes an issue. Does your chronograph give you the velocities you would expect with your other loads, or does it read everything a bit on the low side?
