TROY MCS+SN4 Slimline+SA SOCOM II= FUN.New Addition.

Very nice H2O MAN! Don't you just love the simplicity of the TROY design?!:) A great platform to a classic rifle.:)

It's an awesome system. I love my SAGE stocks, but the MCS is a true upgrade.
I had to try a few different butt stocks before I settled on the EMOD - it is sweet!

The EOTech pictured has the .308 BDC reticle and I am waiting on a 4X FTS magnifier.
The magazine is a new C.M.I. 25 rounder and the Compensator is the M14DC CaliComp from SEI.

Sol,

The TROY MCS Stock is from CQB Services, check the Dealer Forum section here. As for the SAGE stocks, check the Equipment Exchange Forum also in this wesite.

Guys , I'm wondering
what do you think the weight would be of an m14s, 18.5 inch barrel, in the complete troy stock (like h20man's pic) with the only external accessory being a scope such as a leopold 3-9 x40.
any ideas?
would be a big help..... weight will be the deciding factor in whether i drop the coin for one of these or not.
I've got fiberglass stocks comin out my ears :D but am hankerin for somethin more battle rifle looking

That is what I would do 18.5 and 3-9 scope with maybe a Docter site mounted ontop of the front rings. I bet a magpul UBR would be real nice on it if you could get one.

I too wonder how much the rig would weigh? Can't be light.

I removed the mag and bipod, but left the EOTech in place to simulate your Leupold.

12 pounds.

Yours is unusuallly light H20man.

My M1A was almost like the one below (execpt I had a black USGI stock instead of a McMillian), without magazine and ammo it weighed in at just under 11 lbs.

My M1A now unloaded and without ammo weighs just under 15 lbs. So you could say with the stock, scope, scope rings, foregrip, bipod, bipod adapter, and rail guards I only gained 4 lbs.

thanx h20 man
12 lbs is not so bad..... i'm gonna get me either a troy or a jae100 haven't decided yet

There is another SAGE stock that is slimmer than the original. I have one here and is not yet together with a rifle. Comes with the Magpul CTR stock. H2O MAN has one as well. It is not as heavy as the original SAGE. If you happen to pass by Vancouver next time, pm me and I can bring it out for you to see.:)

If I don't continue this family. The SAGE II on the bottom will most likely go up for sale.:redface:

Another Addition to the Family

Should I move this SOCOM II I acquired from Wolverine to the SAGE II stock or not? Hmmm.....

I kinda like how it looks and feels but then again, I can wait and see if something comes up at the EE Forum for another build.:D

Thanks to Danielle at Wolverine for a great service and fast shipping.
