Troy Pump Action Rifle - .223 Rem., 16", BattleAx CQB Stock [SPMP-AR0-00BT-CA]

"I asked Troy about this directly a few years back. They stamp them 223 since 223 is a "sporting round" and 5.56 is apparently too scary to import but all their barrels are chambered in and safe to fire 5.56 ammunition"

This is the same policy for pretty much all manufacturers.

Yet, when I contacted them about mine last spring, I was told it's .223 and using anything else voids the warranty.
Got a case of .223 for starters.

Side Note: I hope they provide the B5 stock as shown, not the "Battle Axe" stock in the title. I was told that their new models all come with the B5 now.

While their TROY Battle Axe stock offered a different look and some storage space, mine proved to have a defect in the adjustment knob, which would collapse when firing. In Troy's defense, they were great to deal with and sent a replacement B5 stock within days.

I had a couple, 1 in 5.56 and another in 300 Blackout. They look cool but i was getting light primer strikes on the 5.56 version. The 300 blackout had a 12.5" barrel and shortened pump and handguard and was ###y AF. I let it go to fund another project. Fun Fact: the barrel nut is on super strong so make sure you are using a barrel torque rod and just barrel soft jaws aren't good enough

Sounds like a couple of lemons.

I know earlier versions had issues with the pump rod

I have the 16" 5.56 converted to 10.5" by ATRS - been 100% reliable.
