If the choke is removable the Sammi method will sink you. It is not part of the gun, it is an attachment. It can easily be interpreted this way.

"Forensically correct specification of a shotgun barrel" is all-encompassing. You're incorrectly assuming that a choke installed only impacts barrel length- that definition says otherwise.

It was likely not the intent of the prohibition, but it affects shotguns regardless. The point here is that either not enough due diligence was given to every implication of the prohibitions, or we're being lied to. Again.
 
Hey, Gravel Agency, being Remington people, you doubtless have a lot of guns in LE hands for shotguns and rifles. Are you going to continue to sell and service them for agencies who support this?

Laws and policy are more like the WWE than the UFC. Feelings over fact. True or not If you can get the 20mm OIC to stick to 12ga in the minds of the public it will help the cause.

I tend to agree. Government bungling that shines more light on what a ridiculous government we have, and gets the hunting only crowd involved.
 
I don't even care any more. Heck, I'm sorely tempted to just take my AR15 to the range this week no matter what some slimy politician 3000 km away says...although I'd be less likely to get caught if I took it somewhere other than a certified range. That's irony :).
 
I gotta say that we should argue to make it stick - short term pain for long term gain. In any case I don't know if I find this more downright hilarious or super sad.

And fully plan to grandfather all of them. Or support whatever cause I can to get the government to overturn this. But this approach is moronic. Your all freaking out over something that can easily be dismissed in half a second. Then what? What's your next play? Is this what all my donation money has gone to?
