It's hard to believe that some people on these threads are clearly buying what the Liberals are selling about not going after hunters etc. Do you actually think they like you or expect your vote? New flash; the Liberals do not like you or your shotgun and will come for it once they are done with us. They do not like guns unless its their bodyguard period, shotgun, rifle, bolt, potato, whatever.

I'll add; when they do come, we will be right there fighting them alongside you. We are not your enemy, we are your friends!

There is a judicial process in place that should determine whether what was done was legal AND democratic.

In all seriousness, this is such a mess. I checked my 870 barrel at the widest point - 20.79mm at the muzzle with the choke removed.

The choke is not a permanent alteration, and therefore it is unlikely it would be counted towards bore diameter.

From what I understand, bore diameter is not measured by the size of the projectile but the widest point of the barrel, not including the chamber.

The fudds suggesting that this is not real or that they should black loc-tite their chokes in are in denial - the Liberals accidentally prohibited your duck guns too.

The much vilified "shooting orgs" (who are at this point our best advocates) had nothing to do with crafting these shoddy regulatory changes.

Time to get on board, guys.

We spoke to our local MB CFO and they said that 10 and 12 GA shotguns are still non-restricted if they were previously. They did however state that if the choke was removed and the bore was greater than 20mm the firearm would then be deemed prohibited. Keep your chokes in and you're fine. Still ridiculous.

By that logic than chokes and muzzle breaks should also count towards barrel length which was always a nogo in the past...

With choke removed, a Qw gauge is .815” AT THE MUZZLE. Apparently this IS enough(.787=20mm) to put it over the limit so by 'the letter of the prohibition as it’s written' it holds true. As does the .460 Wby mag...with 500 gr bullet it produces7,504 FPE...10174.06 joules, the list says any firearm with over 10,000 joules is prohibited. Again, by 'the letter of the prohibition' it’s all in the wording. Whether they will make this stick is another question. By the wording, a .78 cal MUZZLELOADER s prohibited...
