We can agree its vague and flawed which is the case for much if not all of the classification system. But that’s not the point. You’ve all been creating a false narrative for the past several days, which has now essentially been quashed. As most angry yet reasonable gunowners said it would be. Yet all the fear mongering and negativity persists.

I was DIRECTED to tell them to improve their traffic enforcement!

So front line won't be doing it regularly. It'll start with specialized units - intelligence/traditional organized crime/guns and gangs/PWUE/NWEST....and it'll likely occur AFTER they arrest a bad guy and found that he had a PAL and seized shotguns, and then...."hey, he has 2-4 shotguns, lets get them analyzed", the analyst knowing it is belonging to a potential gun charge will lay it all out....VERY MATTER OF FACTLY....then the lead investigator will definitely say - lets do it, see if it sticks when we throw it against the wall......there isn't case law yet. I HAVE SEEN IT HAPPEN! The it will slowly disseminate from there.

Pretty interesting barrel on the shotgun pictured, I wonder how they will 'choose' to measure it?

When you measure the widest part of a 12 gauge barrel it is more than 20MM. At the choke is 18.5MM. Problem is you assume everyone arguing against the logic of this fake news fear mongering article is just a fudd with a shotgun. Only people doing the throwing are those who actively participate in spreading this inaccurate information. Yelling and screaming gets you nowhere in this country incase you haven’t noticed.

Come to think of it, it's actually much more stupid than Trump's idea to treat Covid-19 patients via injection of bleech and other cleaning products.

National Geographic did a special on 'Ghost Guns'. Basically, there are people in the jungles of the Phillipines making 1911's; amongst many other places I am sure. They are real steel 1911's, complete with a serial number. But, they are never registered and they are sold to American criminals. The point is, those guns, and guns like it, did not start life as a legal gun.
