The Ontario Liberals banned carding by police forces across Ontario in January 2017. Toronto police had all but quit the practice going back to 2015 due to public outcry. Since 2016 gun crimes in Toronto have escalated rapidly. I didn’t say that a carding ban was responsible for an increase in illegal guns. It was a tool to prevent gun crimes and take some of these guns off the streets. Now, with gun crimes on the rise, trudeau wants us, the legal gun owners to pay the price for it instead of putting more resources into the fight against illegal guns in the hands of criminals and stopping the flow of illegal guns coming across the border. No hidden agenda here, bud. I don’t need to explain to you why I’m here

No, they did not. And carding is not isolated to Ontario. Carding did not connect to illegal guns as easy as you make it out to be. You don't know what you are talking about!!!

Sounds like you know all. The point was that government should be looking at different avenues to curb gun crimes and not sweeping gun bans or other legislation that punish legal gun owners. I was using carding as an example. You are the one that chose to start a debate on this thread. You seem to be picking apart a lot of post in this thread. What’s your agenda? I didn’t say carding was isolated to Ontario or that it connected to illegal guns easily. Read the post. Don’t put words in my mouth. I won’t be going anywhere. Enjoy your evening.

How I understand this all situation around gun ban:
Here in BC now Kinder Morgan Pipeline has to be because its a thousands job position for the people......... And gun ban its a thousand people like shops, gunsmith, gun clubs, instructors, sportsmens and many other thousand, and thousands people gona loose not only jobs, they also possible family income (and of coarse property lack of mortgage payments). After gun ban we (CANADIANS) can say BYE and sorry to all Canadian gun shooting team and BYE to Shooting Federation of Canada ( we don't need you anymore) I think after gun ban we meed to spend one minute in silent in memory of CANADIAN Olympic champions in shooting. Welcome aboard, I had posted that conclusion years ago when we had a chance to do something about it.

Right now we're like cattle in the pen at Cargill just up the road from me mooing and milling around wondering what's going to happen next. Out of ideas, time, organization ....................
 
Is this something that we could launch a class action lawsuit against the Liberal Govt for? What they are trying to do calls for a much more targeted aggressive response that forces them to have some real skin in the game. If they want to turn us into criminals overnight then if possible they should face some real consequences for their actions. Something severe enough that it sends a message to all future governments as well. If all of the industry people from importers to local store owners to hunting guides etc form a group and go after them for damages all the individual gun owners can be a secondary supporting group. We need to hit back BIG TIME here and slap these fools down some. They need to know if they try to pull this then they will become a target for a lawsuit and that it can/will cost them.
