Trudeau's Gun Ban and Buy Back

The only hope we have is if all of us get off this forum and start talking to actual non gun owners and bring them around. Either face to face or via social media. Especially in the golden triangle. Where I live all you see is PC signs. The other guys don't have the guts to even try and campaign. Ontario is a different story as is BC. Members in these areas need to work very hard at changing public perception to counter Liberal propaganda.

Thumping our chests here on CGN does nothing.

I agree that it's important for the CPC to win this October, but I'm calling it here right now: The CPC Will Not Repeal C-71.

I hope I'm wrong, but I have zero faith in that party and it's leadership anymore

C71 may or may not be a part of a CPC government, but C71 pales in comparison to Trudeau and Blair's backdoor confiscation plan. C71 is a lost battle, but there's a new battle raging.

The racist thing wont really stick as a major concern.. its also a bit dodgy as several politicans from other parties including Cons have said or done stupid things in the past.....

The crucial difference being that one almost expects those candidate to do jackassery.

Trudeau's jackassery is so important because his entire manufactured persona is that of the evolved feminist male. His desciples truly believed he wasn't like every other rich white private school legacy kid. I've spoken to a few of my lib-voter friends and they're disgusted. "He's no different than the rest" is their disillusionment. We need to keep on this, because they're disgusted with him. Of course pretty much anyone who abandons the LPC at this point will be going to the NDP, but it's still damaging to the LPC. And as childlishly stubborn as Singh is about refusing to cooperate with Scheer in a coalition scenario, if that scenario becomes reality he won't have any choice.

I just spent the better part of the evening arguing on social media with some guy who insisted Trudeau is not coming for anyone's guns, and his policy is not confiscation.
His argument was even if its against your will, any compensation means it's no longer confiscation.
And although Trudeau said he will stop the gun violence by seizing gun owner's property, he's not blaming licensed gun owners for that violence.... he's blaming the guns.

It hurts to read that much stupid.

Class action lawsuit, let's go.

A Charter challenge is also a good option, because any Charter challenge automatically halts legal proceedings in the matter. The matter must be adjourned until the Charter challenge is resolved, which can take years.

And unlike a class action suit, a Charter challenge can be brought by an individual.

I don't know if an OIC can be halted by a Charter challenge, but I bet it could. Are there any actual lawyers on this board who would have would ahve some insight?

I am pretty sure the Taliban would like to disagree with you on this. They started with old bolt action rifles. They ended up controlling a country. I would also point you to ISIS, Al Queda and other terrorist groups that have resisted with limited firepower at the start and end up control large areas of a country. If the US military and NATO cannot control a small country like Afghanistan then how can our extremely small military and police hope to control a really big one. It is not about the tool but the heart of the man who matters in this.

Groups like the Taliban gain momentum because their members have no real alternative. They have nothing to lose. They live in poverty and can be swayed by (corrupted) issues of faith and heavenly reward.

If Canadians had our guns taken away, we'd still have refrigerators and supermarkets and mobility and Shelby Mustangs and hockey and pot and ### toys and western medicine and a million other creature comforts to keep us distracted and basically content. Precious few of us are willing to give any of that up for a principle.

I promise you, there will be no armed resistance against this or any other Canadian government. People in the West are too complacent and fat and lazy. Also, it's worth considering we tend to not be bankrolled by the CIA.

You Red Dawn types never disappoint.

I just wandered over to the PC website, bought the family a membership, made a donation, and placed an order for a lawn sign.

The Liberals need to be put to pasture.

I’ve got almost 13 years as a Police Officer so far. I’ve taken guns off of bad guys. I’ve seen people shot more times then I care to remember.

This proposed legislation is nothing more then pandering to people who know nothing about gun crime, it wouldn’t have made a bit of difference in any of the crime I’ve seen.

The Liberals know these facts too. Their motives are disingenuous and have nothing to do with fighting violent crime and everything to do with deceiving the gullible public. All this comes at the cost of leaving good people, law abiding people, to swing in the wind.

Also, I will not participate in the theft of other people’s, GOOD PEOPLES, privately owned property. Not after I’ve worked so hard to protect those same people, and their property, for so much of my career.

Trudeau is a cheat, and a lier.

Considering that one of law enforcements jobs is to expose themselves to the worst in our society, how is that going to affect everyone when they start going door to door? What type of officer is going to be able to do this work? I fear it would be the same kind that has no problem round up citizens into box cars or large rooms lined with ceramic tiles.
This really could be a huge turning point for the civilized world, New Zealand did not register the ar-15 and from what I can gather they will continue the program until they feel like they got them all (aka go door to door to liscenced gun owners and search, confiscate, charge them).
What is the stance of the anti gun groups when asked about fighting back tyranny?
In anycase I will, like many of you vote cpc because I know in my heart that if they win I will be able to keep my firearms and call/write my elected officials to complain about cuts to education and healthcare. But I also know in my heart that if the liberals win, they will come to my home to confiscate my property and will not care when I complain about the cuts to healthcare and education.

Also, I am a conspiracy theorist, why would the establishment want us to put scheer into office? What is the plan?

Are there any protests or public actions that are being taken? has anything been organized?
Lets march en masse to show our voice.

Well... here’s the thing:

We all know Trudeau made this announcement as a diversion from his scandals, right? We can agree on that? Commentators from both sides of the fence have said as much. In the midst of his scandals, he threw a big “hey look over here” hand grenade into the room.

So with EVERY action we take, we need to ask ourselves: “Are we playing right into his hands?”

What kind of effect will marching in the streets have on the election? Because for the next 4 weeks, the election is all that matters. Ousting Trudeau is plan A. And plans B through Z have to be carefully weighed to ensure they won’t interfere with plan A.

Any action like a march (in my opinion) is going to be heavily painted by the media. It’s going to be framed as “those alt-right, gun lovin’ conservatives with their cold, dead hands. This is where a blue vote will take you folks: Rednecks marching in the street! Trump 2.0! Republicans! Ford! Scary scary. And look over here, more free stuff from the liberals!”

If the election is all that matters for the next 4 weeks, I just can’t see how any public display, where the media will be our voice is going to help move votes in our direction. And we need a LOT of votes moved in our direction.

The only votes we’re going to pick up by focusing on the gun ban, is gun owners. Anything beyond that will be spun against us, and used against us. Gun owners marching in the street will be used by the liberals to unify the left to prevent a conservative win.

Because when that reporter walks into the march to get comments, who’s comments do you think they’re gonna play on the 6 O’clock news? Yours? Or this guy’s:

Time just to form militias / organized and ready to rock and roll , 1/2 measures are over

Let’s not be the tools of the liberal party. Don’t play us right into his hands. Focus on the issues that will move votes. And in this case, it’s scandal, hypocrisy, elitism, and all the other dirty deeds he’s been up to.

My $0.02.

We can look at the other stuff on the 22nd.

You Red Dawn types never disappoint.

You should note that I never stated anything about a Red Dawn scenario. I only stated that only having bolt action rifles does not mean you will automatically lose to a modern western military. I agree there are other factors in it but weapon types have nothing to do with it. Look up the Liberator pistol from WW2 and see what it was supposed to get people to do.

Just as an aside: I've read a little of the wargaming scenarios produced by the US Military concerning a hot civil war... Immediate defections estimated to be at least 50% of military, police, emergency services... Cities overly-reliant on a grid that can be taken out by a two-man sniper team. Huge populations by the coasts that have no means to feed themselves once supplies run out. Lots of cities surrounded by easily-held choke points that can tie up huge resources. A huge core of the country (i.e. fly-over states) populated by armed and supported 'rebels...' It's one of the scenarios they fear the most.

And, in Canada, a standing army of about 68,000 in a country of 36 million...

I keep hearing how serious armed resistance in North America would get crushed. That's not what the experts seem to think.

But - not suggesting it, obviously. Was just interesting to read those scenarios. It's a Liberal/Democrat talking point that armed resistance would be futile. Sporadic, unorganized resistance, yes. Organized and determined, no.

Anyway... Back to arguing about politics...

Each and everyone have to file a judicial review for each restricted you own, this will take many years just to go tru while having a huge impact on the court activity.

This is free, simple thing to do WITH HUGE CONSEQUENCES ON THE SYSTEM.

You have to be kidding or completely naive.

Evident you don't have experience in law enforcement or know any one that does.

What kind of Police officer will do this job?

The ones that are told to. They will do it happily in order to keep their job and salary and pension and benefits.

Their salary, and benefits are beyond what most Canadians could dream about.

That they have a pension (which is a mythical and almost unknown word in today job market) alone means they will do exactly what they are told.

Since they have to deal with law abiding citizens rather than the criminals and crazies they usually have to deal with......it will actually be a vacation!

Its the ones that don't get assigned to it that are going to be unhappy and jealous.

No one cares what you think RK99

I don't give a ph#ck about the climate. Or trying to re-imagine how we need to divide all of two genders. Which washrooms the poor bastards confused on that point should use. Or even whatever tax-siphoning pet Liberal industry you want to "save".

In a nutshell, the lunatics ranting about those issues certainly don't care about my property rights so don't ask me for support bereft of Quid Pro Quo.

Every time I read anything to do with our government I can't help myself but to shake my head in shame. Can't believe this clown got elected to begin with.
