Trudeau's Gun Ban and Buy Back

If the worst happens and a gun by back of some kind is announced, let's say were given 2 years to comply, could this be reversed if an early election is called?
 
The govt doesn't have to send anyone to jail. So ARs become prohibited and lets say you get every owner to refuse to comply. The CFC sends out notices and after the deadline you are informed you are breaking the law and can be charged. All they need to do is start making examples of us. Charge you with possession of a prohibited firearm and then you lose your license and receive a 10 year ban on owning firearms...perhaps longer. You lose your handguns and now have a criminal record.
Some of us need to be criminal record free to keep our jobs so some us now get fired. With a criminal record with weapons charges you aren't going to the US again for a long time, if ever.
That's the lightest of what can happen to you.

Does anyone think that if the RCMP had a list of everyone who had full auto rifles and weren't allowed to hav them that they would say it's too hard to go after them? Hell no, they would be coming to everyone's house.

We will probably have another election in 18 months, so start planning now. As soon as the CPC candidate is nominated, get in and bend their ear. Convince them that the firearms file is an important one. Offer help, and particularly money. Remember, you get 75% of it back.

Is that the same logic you would provide to the Chinese student protestors who in 1989 broke laws and curfews to oppose tyranny?

When protestors stormed into the streets of Czechoslovakia to resist the soviet invasion of their sovereign nation, they broke laws to protest and challenge the impending crack down of their civil rights.

These people resisted injustice, whether they broke laws or not history will see them as some of the bravest, most righteous people to have lived.

And here we are, shaking in fear at the very notion of standing up to injustice..

What a grotesque display of cowardice on the grandest of scales. Shameful.

Well I guess your right, let’s save everyone the trouble and run a saw through the receiver of all our guns.

They don't need to send anybody to jail.
Canada has 14-19 Billion budget deficit now and Trudeau simply doesn't have money to buy anything back.

IMHO, the most realistic scenario for Liberals is to simply prohibit AR15's which will render them a piece of metal junk (a very expensive junk though) for their owners the same way they did with full-auto firearms a while ago.
Can't leave your property with them, can't shoot them, can't really sell them to anybody else for a decent price since few people want to have things they can't use.

If you take it out from your house then you go to jail.
And I don't think there will be a Canada wide "take your AR15 with you" day to stress police force with 60,000 arrests and confiscations.
Not even mentioning shooting range owners who will one hundred percent report you to police as soon as you show up with your banned firearm since none of them wants to lose their business and go to jail with you.
Feds can and will for sure imprison anybody who breaks prohibited weapon law.

What happened when they banned full auto firearms?
There was way more fully automatic weapons owned by private owners back then and nothing happened.
 
Full autos were always uncommon and no one viewed them as essential. Also in those days, most gun owners didn’t yet understand what these early prohibitions were. We now know they’re a sequential step in the apparatus of absolute disarmament.

Make no mistake, the government will feel much better if the population it governs is totally disarmed. That’s their end goal.

Now that more gun owners see these bans for what they actually are, hopefully we’re going to begin to resist.

judging by the state of morale on this forum however, I give private ownership of semis and handguns in Canada no more then 20 years to continue.
 
From what I have been reading this morning, Guns are not his top priority, the environment is, I don't expect him to aim for the guns first. There is risk of a separatist movement in AB from gun control and environmental issues, there are some politics at play here imo.

"Guns" are not a hobby.
Bearing arms for defense against fellow man and tyrannical governments is a God given right, which is not currently formally acknowledged by "our" government.

Definitely.... Goodale was also a driving force behind the proposed ban. That clown Bill Blair was the one I wanted to see unseated the most in this election. But how can you unseat an unpopular politician when the Libs parachuted him into a Liberal stronghold that was guaranteed to elect any clown wearing red.
 
Canada has now become a perpetual one-party state. The Liberals have the means to do whatever it takes to stay in power, and they'll use the next 4 years to both pander to their identity group$ and bring in as many left-voting immigrants as possible. There will never, ever, be a conservative party running Canada again. The purpose of anyone not in the favoured tribes is to be taxed and exploited. Their votes will change nothing and count for nothing. They are conquered. That is why Liberals, i.e. Marxists, here and world wide, are hell bent on rounding up the fighting guns.

The difference between "them" (for lack of a better word) and Canadians is that they have a history of resistance and opposing oppressive govts despite the outcome and end result. Canadian have *NEVER* had to stand up like this to a govt in the last 1.5 centuries. Law abiding Canadians would be at a loss to stage a strong stand (especially one that may result in rioting and violence) because we fear incarceration and repercussions.

If you think for one second that Trudeau has any fiscal responsibility or even comprehends what that means, you're kidding yourself. The village idiot wouldn't even bat an eye at wasting a billion more of tax payer money with some absurd stupidity like a 'gun buy back', he's the textbook definition of "blissfully ignorant".

I wholeheartedly agree that we as a community represent good natured, law abiding citizens but if we are too afraid to make a stand we are completely bypassing the point of an armed citizenry.

If it is essential the population be armed to prevent tyranny, I should think it would be our collective priority to ensure that we retain arms.

After all, what is the bill of rights and freedoms really worth without our guns to ensure it’s continual practice?

Unfortunately many still don't realize that. And in some cases the brain washing has gone so deep that when you explain it to them, they think you're some nut job conspiracy theorist. Many times I've heard form from gun owners that they don't need guns, and can live with out them just as they did before having any. Or that the new restrictions won't affect them because they just hunt with a lever action..... Or, as song as they can keep their .22 and shotgun they are happy... Etc

I'd suggest as you are storming the Parliament buildings that you look behind you to see if you are still leading the parade.

The situation in China is far from our situation here. You are talking 2 million in 35 million at best in Canada. Hardly a critical mass.

I wouldn't say it's cowardly, it's just intelligent behaviour. What can you do when you are in Jail after you lose your job?
 
Mr. Trudeau just called, said for all you racist, white nationalist gun owners get in your trucks, work your 14hr days and make him another "Sammich". No he doesn't care if your kids can't have a vacation there be immigrants that need a new 55 LED tv. You cannot vote your way out of clown world.
