True or false

No Marstar bought all the complete rifles that were left in China. The ones we're getting now are a mixture of new production parts and old parts. John has suggested that there may be issues with the quality of the old parts in these new rifles which may be true but only time will tell. I'm sure we'll see a renewed interest in the Hungry clinics either way, always gotta love the good Karma!

For sure two of the new parts are gonna be the stocks (no wood ones left in China) and the oprods are new as well.

Unless someone goes out and tests a few receivers I wouldn't put too much faith in the "Chinese forged parts are superior" talk. Imbel makes good stuff, but everyone loves an underdog don't they?

This has been proven by failures in Springfield receivers. Early Chinese receivers had failures too but those seem to have been cleared up years ago.

Either way there is no way one can say that a springfield is worth the money when compared to Norcs.

Surplus 7.62

Wink There go those internet groups again....
There is no military 7.62 ball ammo capable of sub-MOA accuracy. 2" is unusual and 2.5-3" is the norm.

My Remington 700 VLS shot consistent MOA groups with Norwegian and Israeli surplus ammo.

You know very little apparently. The FORGED Chinese receivers are highly regarded as equal or better than the SA steel ones (which I believe are now CAST).

The forged receivers don't add up to s**t when the front sight block needs to be indexed 20 degrees to make it straight.(the barrel i mean) Get a real one!//i'm drunk again

Who is bringing these "new" ones in? :nest:

I am not an expert on M14's but I do know my knives and steel backwards and forwards and the chinese have gotten MUCH better in the last few years. Often it is US companies that manufacture in china teaching them modern production and quality controls. Which is going to end up biting them on the A$$.

My chinese Spyderco Byrd has as good a steel and better fit and finish than the Jap made one and is very close to the US made ones which can cost 10 times as much.
I don't like supporting the fascist(not really communist) Chinese but a 600$ for the same rifle difference is simply to much cash difference. I would pay 10% even 20% more for North American made.

Norcs are also good for people who like to do the kind of hand finishing that you don't see on anything but the most expensive new guns or ones made preWW2.
