tt33 ####

Mine came today, 1951 unissued Polish.
Seems to be more of a parkerised finish then that nice polished blue. Also some crate wear, finish is blotchy on the slide, bit of rust in the corners of the guts, right grip was loose. Kind of feel ripped off comparing it to some of the ones from Kelly's...got this one elsewhere.
Probably VG condition as far as finish goes. I probably wouldn't have fired it if it was minty though.....then again, I would have bought a Russian refurb if I was after a blaster.
Guess they all can't be winners!

I replaced the return and magazine springs in my TT-33. After I polished the feed ramp,It functions perfectly. I recently purchased three more TT-33's for future use. I did try all of them and found one that also needed some work on the feed ramp. I removed a very small burr and will be ordering new return and magazine springs for all of them. I can only suggest you have a really close look at the parts and do alittle home smithing to fix it. Good Luck.

I did all the mods, made new sights added a beaver tail and an addition to the back strap to improve the grip angle, and checkered the front and back straps. I then parkerized it and then dura-coat over that.the grips are made from micarta.

I think it turned out quite nice oh forgot to add it was the ugliest tok id seen before i started missing parts etc,

Very well done. It was clean enough that I thought it might be factory so that is a compliment.

There is a site in another country where the TT33 is very popular. Mostly because they make versions of it in that country. Original Russian guns are highly regarded. You can check out their own TT33 picture thread here: 30cal pics They mod their guns in all kind of crazy ways. Some of them look good and some are really cheezy but it is entertaining none the less.

i spent about 1 hour and tore mine down then cleaned all the cracks and cranny's with q tips dipped in wd slippery (wd40)
reoiled it and put it back together and it looks real good. mine came from kellys as well.

I rec'd mine on Friday. My gun also has lots of brown patina inside and outside. In normal room light the blue looks good, but the brown patina is very visible when you view the gun on an angle in bright light. It also has what looks like holster wear on the sharp edges at the front end of the slide and on the barrel bushing. There are also several rub marks on the slide, which I assume are from the padding in the original wooden crates. I've also got a mag issue . . . I'm going to start a new post and see if anyone else is having similar problems.
Guys there is a thin film of cosmo or something all over and inside these guns I cleaned most of mine off and they look great gotta do a deeper clean later in the week. However, I have never seen a surplus military/police firearm with such smooth finishes on them. My 100th ankv. S&W has more tooling marks than these guns, and a fantastic smooth action. Try running your fingers along a new nork for $400, and cut yourself all up, these guns are extremely well built for surplus or commercial standards! Get them while they last, who knows how many are coming! I hope lots cause i want 2 more!!
