Tube fed 22?

Looking to pickup a tube fed 22. I like the fact I can load what I have around but I guess that is pretty much only 22lr lately. Have been keeping my eyes open for a nice marlin 81 or Cooey 60. Long barrel is nice as it helps lower the crack with the cci quiets. Is there any other ones I should keep on the look for?

win 69 a some are scopeable some are not semi's most will have feeding issues i'm sure the internet educated will jump in and say how good there savage mossberg and other rifles are some of the mossbergs from 50'60' are fine non scope friendly

Rem quit making the '60' in 2020, when Ruger 'took over'. Rugger is not likely going to 're-introduce' a rifle that is 'better' than the 10/22 out of the box. The 60s now command premium pricing if in V-good condition, which many are since they weren't as prone to abuse as the Rugger. It's harder to dump with a tube that takes minutes to reload. However, I've made 'tube-feeders' with vinyl tubing and there are now "Spee-d-Loader"s on amazon for ca $30 or so. I had one of the 'original' "S-d-loaders" back in the 70s and evidently the license was sold to a new mfr.

You are indeed correct, I was mistaken. I must have got one in the last years of production still new in box. My LGS had one new as well, and this is where I got mine: https://www.easthilloutdoors.com/marlin-model-60-blued-walnut-22lr-19.html

Browning SA22 as mentioned above is probably the best current production unit you can buy, pricey though
 
Thank you all for the great information. The marlin 60 is nice. Did find one nice newer one but I’m feeling I prefer older generations with the 22” barrel.
 
Remington 552 Speedmaster is the one I got for my 16th and is one I would recommend. Very accurate, my dad taught me distance shooting with it, about an 8" or so red balloon at 200 yards was the target. Starlings bothered the purple martins of my grandfather and if there was a starling at 50 or even out to 100yds it was all up to the shooter (me) and I buried alot of starlings.
