I own a couple Weatherby Elements in 12 and 20 gauge and I find them to be excellent well finished guns that are reliable. I can tell you my deluxe model gets a lot of attention at the club due to the fantastic wood. I shoot it really well too. A friend of mine also has a 12ga which he regularly duck hunts with, has not cleaned in a couple years and it keeps working for him. I also like how they come with inserts to adjust stock angle and length.

I cant comment on other brands but Weatherby has great customer/parts support which to me is important since everything eventually breaks.

I don't own one because they are junk.I don't need to eat at McDonald to know their food is garbage either.Turkish people are rampaging around killing people in Syria, and that is another reason their disgusting country and guns are to be avoided.Soft steel and soft brains make for bad weapons.

I have an HS-12, some kinda single shot, and a CZ712 that was made in Turkey.

The CZ712; broken hammer last fall, broken action bar welds the fall before, and also had my spring for the lifter plate fall out of place and jam everything because it just sits in a divet. Hard recoil is no good for it I guess?

The HS-12, sight are garbage, safety doesn't work some times, plastic stock broke a chunk out when dropped into the running board of my truck when it was super cold out....but any synthetic provably would have. Also, sometimes it fires both barrels with one trigger pull. I dunno if I'm holding it weird and bump firing it, or if it's a malfunction. Has only happened twice in a thousand rounds.

My single shot just says Bear 3" magnum...so I guess Bear is the brand? The hammer is short and travels in too much of an arc. Also there's no texturing for your thumb, so slipping off it and accidentally firing off a round is an expected occurrence

This is true....
My new Browning 725 had an ejector issue...had to send it back for repairs a couple months after my purchase

Had a trigger problem with a Franchi Instinct......had to take it to Stoeger for repairs.

Had a Benelli SBE that had issues cycling lighter loads....eventually moved it along.

Bought a Beretta A300 when they first came out....wouldn't cycle because the recoil spring was binding and needed to be replaced

Apparently lemons can come in many flavours...

I had issues with a Remington 870 Express, a Brno 802 combo gun (12 ga/30-06) and several rifles: Sako 85, Marlin 1895 guide gun, Kel-Tec sub2K, and several more. All brands have lemons.

My Turkish shotgun needed filing to fit the barrel in its own receiver. And the front sight was off by almost 20 degrees.
Another one had metal shavings in the gas system right out of the box. I havent found an excuse to shoot them yet.

All brands have lemons.

Obviously. There is a Grand Caravan out there with 400,000km and there’s a Sienna with a broken transmission at 20,000 somewhere.
But everybody knows which one to buy for reliability.
So kind of a meaningless statement.

All brands have lemons. Not meaningless at all. Want to talk metal shavings and canted front sights? As for your minivan analogy, no thanks, I wouldn't buy either.

Hmm I’ve had a few:

A sinsinati that’s essentially a AS46, works fine. Sights were garbage.

Akdal mka1919 - some finishing was not exactly super refined, but the gun ran well. Sights junk.

Canuck Regulator I think it is pump shotgun, shotgun is good, stock felt cheaper than a magpul but serviceable.

FD12 - ran great, good finishing, trigger was poor but an hour or so of stoning and polishing fixed that up. Sights suck.

Basically the whole bag of plastic sights and whatever bits on them all can go right in the garbage, I’d rather not have them at all but I get why people want them out of the box. They’re made to a price point and the cheapest of them are pretty marginal, especially the semis. I’d always buy one of the better versions of anything.

His post made perfect sense. Canted sights and metal shavings have been found on many different firearms. I've seen it on well established firearms made in America.....and some in Canada as well....

And somewhere there’s a Hilti drill that broke before a mastercraft... so saying "all brands have lemons" to dismiss complaints about mastercraft makes sense?
Or to use an analogy The Kurgan can understand more, somewhere there’s a Fiat 500 that outlasted a Yaris, yet we all know which one to pick for reliability.

The more you post, the more your immaturity is on display....just saying

I’ve got the Huglu 103D in 410.
Sweet little unit. Only thing I would change is give it ejectors.
One flat of 3 inch Federal through it so far and not a hitch.

Uzkon BR99 is one of the best shotguns Ive owned and Ive got quite a few. Have had it for 4 years and from the first box of #4 shot to 0 Buck it has never failed (knock wood). Used birdshot from the first not knowing there was a “break in” period but again, the gun is rock solid.

to be fair ,conduct the same poll with B guns and compare results

I see where you are going with this and I agree with the premise. But why would it be fair? My understanding is the OP wanted to hear from owners of Turkish guns and isn't trying to compare them to B guns. Turkish guns fill a different void within the firearms market. And for the people within that particular target market, they want to hear first hand knowledge one way or another. The quality of Turkish guns can vary so potential buyers could benefit from hearing the pro’s and cons of different Turkish brands. I didn’t understand the point of this poll to be a comparison to B guns.

Can somebody tell me more about the Prophet river Huglu SxS with the external hammers? Overall fit and finish? The 20" barrel specimen is really tweaking my interest as a general carry woods shotgun.
