Turmoil in Ukraine and prices on SKS and Ammo

Yes because they can not support them financially they have to sell weapons to Ukraine.
By USA rule. Any government that had a coupe in their country and that the president that was kicked out is still alive. No financial aid can be given to that country.
The new prime minister that went to see Obama could only ask for firearms, because financially he can not get help.
There is going to be new rules written after all this ends in a year or two.

All the Ak and ammo was sold to Africa and other fighting countries like Syria and Iraq . Ukraine does not have it. They need firearms. Which they can only buy if they had money.

The information is coming from the importers, like westrifle.
 
I don't understand why some enterprising Russian\Ukranian Canadian cannot make contact with the Trans-Dneister region of Moldova. This is a break away region of Moldov that is not recognized by any one other than Russia, and a few of their allies. This region is known throughout the world for gun running. They make their own weapons and ammo. And are truly an old style Communist Soviet state that has asked Putin to join the Russian Federation They need hard cash. Sometimes I wish I had a few Russian friends in the know, would love start an import business. I am sure cheap Ammo would be available there.
Discuss......am I crazy or correct about Trans-Dneister region of Moldova.
 
I hope that we see more Norinco SKS imported to make up for the shortfall and that ammo from other parts of the old Warsaw Pact and China fill the void.

The SKS, Norc M305 and similar rifles play an important role in mainstreaming semi-auto rifles into the fabric of Canadian gun culture, so I see the at least temporary decline in their availability at reasonable costs as an unfortunate development.
 
It was on the CBC News today that the Ukraine has fired their Minister of Defence for failure to act . The news reported that one of the military bases in the Crimea had been handed over to Russia with large stockpiles of military arms on site , but they had recieved no orders from the Ukraine Minister of Defence on what to do , so the the base commander handed the base and all the weapons over to the Russian military . You would think that the base commander would have at least destroyed the weapons before leaving the base........but he had not received orders to do so.....
 
Just like any other news, some retailers may try to boost prices and others wont. They will lose business and the trust of the community for price gouging.
 
Moldova is all empty. I have made contact with them before. We search for cheap ammo everywhere it is not that simple you think.
As to Chinese firearms I can tell you that those will come as soon as Russian dry up. Many here prefer Russian quality but other like cheaper Chinese Sks . The truth is both are going to be in the same price range in a year or so.
 
It is not price gouging. I feel like leaving gun nuts when I hear people saying that. If some retailers bought 300 rifles and have 50 left they will not change prices, but those that pay new prices will raise prices.
