TV Host/hunter being bashed for her latest kill

Telling stories around the campfire can hardly be compared to posting your kills on facebook for thousands of people with "nothing better to do" to view. I dont veiw it as "going underground" or censoring, rather picking your audience.

She posted it on her twitter feed, only people that should have saw it, were fans of hers that were following her on twitter. So she did pick her audience, but as the internet goes nothing is secret. I say fk em, dont hide. Hiding indicates you may have something to hide or feel what you did was wrong. She didnt feel that way so she posted it as she did many times before, just the wrong person got hold of it this time. Not like she posted it on PETA's website.

Even her own facebook is for her fans and friends.

Perhaps it sounds odd to you but it's a pretty easy way to explain hunting and conservation, especially in Africa. In Africa everything is about money....no hunters=no conservation. Not sure why that's so hard to explain. It's the same reason many North American conservation groups exist.

So,So true!! Have a look at Kenya for the last 40 years on banning hunters / hunting...a drop in 85% on their game species. WATCH OUT for Botswana in 10 years time...total destruction...

Well said, We should be proud to stand up and tell people, I am a hunter and proud of it.

Pride can be a double-edged attribute. Certainly we shouldn't be ashamed, but a dose of modesty and humility might be in order for some.

I prefer to take a more "matter-of-fact" approach. Hunting is neither deplorable nor laudable. I don't think something so ingrained in the human instinct should be judged on this scale. It just is what it is. We don't heap criticism or praise on any other natural predators for doing what they do, so why do we do so for the human species? One exception may be wolves/coyotes, but that's only because they are our competition. We know innately that there is nothing either good or evil about the wild canines' instinct to kill and eat other animals. We also know the same about ourselves. Hunting is beyond good and evil.
