Sunday June 22nd, at the Tweedsmuir Park Rod & Gun Club (Babine Lake Rd, Burns Lake BC)

500 & 700 yard steel plates, starting at 12" and down to 2"

Hit to move on to the next smaller target, scoring is on a point system (12" 1pt, 10" 2pt, 8" 3pt, 6" 4pt, 4" 5pt, 2" 6pts - hit all six targets for 21 points - BLACKJACK!) 12 shots in 2 minutes


Open to all centerfire rifles, shot off a bench with a front & rear rest


Registration starts at 8am and entry fee is $20

This event is the third of five Blackjack shoots across north west BC

Getting to the 4” at 700 wasn’t to bad, but I only hit 3 out of 15 shots on the 2” (practicing the 2” more then the others). The mirage was crazy, pretty tough to see 2” even with 30x. Turning the scope down helped with mirage a bit, but then couldn’t see 2” at all. Once the paints knocked off it then it’s really tough to see lol. It’ll be an interesting shoot!! Fingers crossed for some cloud cover.

Those 2 “ will be tuff if there’s any wind 💨
It would be a Very FUN shoot . I think my 6 GT would be up to it but maybe not me 🤷🏼‍♂️

7th target is the spare 2" in case something happens to the first 2" , they tend to get beat up more than the larger targets

2" is 0.27moa at 700 yards , tough feat for sure
