I have hunted with one since the late 70’s my best friends dad had 5 or 6 of them, back then we would go sharp tail hunting in Saskatchewan his 3 sons and myself all carried them he used one as well .
Mine has a green reciever 26” mod choke vent rib I still take it out hunting occasionally
They are a very nice handling shotgun

Nice DA. I have three and use each one. They are a great gun for Upland or ducks over decoys. I wish that I could figure out the pic posting process.

Very nice condition. A couple guys at the club I belonged to in Ontario had them and shot trap with them occasionally. A buddy of mine bought one new in '68 and it was stolen out of his car while he was parked having dinner with his Uncle after a duck hunt they had been on that day.

Shure is purdy for such an aged girl.
I'm diggin the detail in the but pad.
Doesnt do much for cushion, but sure is detailed.
Thought you might like some history of an old boy who worked for Browning in the warranty department.
(this vid is actually Art's son)

I sure like those older rounded grips. I have a good .pdf with serialization information for many old guns, and the very small section for these Browning Double Autos is all listed as N/A - so can;t help you there. How does it shoot?

Not there yet Z'bra.
My old buddy wants to hit the range when it warms up a bit.
I'll take it then.

Few other guns 'round'ear need the dust blown out the bawrill as well.

This has been a fun thread.
Thanks for the support on this Browning.
Funny thing I noticed, the goll dang trigger is surprisingly pleasant.

I bought one new about 1968 with factory installed Cutts Compensator for hunting and skeet. Whether the Cutts weight messed up the recoil system or what I don't know but it was really critical to keep clean and well lubed. Loved the gun though for skeet and crows. Also had the super lightweight 20 ga with alloy barrel that was a real sweetie...alas: sellers remorse on that one.
The one in the picture looks suspiciously short at the muzzle and I wonder if it has been shortened after having a muzzle attachment such as a Cutts removed from a 28" barrel? I don't recall whether they were made with 27 1?2" barrels but reference to an old catalogue or measuring the choke vs the choke designation on the barrel would solve that question.
Regardless, it is in beautiful condition!
