I rarely share on this board as there doesn't seem to be that many serious Soviet / Mosin collectors in Canada but I figured I would post these two.

I put them on Gunboards as I had a few questions about them and the questions were answered.

Both rifles were made at Factory No. 74 in Izhevsk and have excellent bores.

They received a thick, ugly coating of shellac for long term storage but the stocks are unsanded and the original finish is underneath. They're both original condition otherwise. (The 1943's nose cap may have been replaced, it was authorized for factories to re-use older parts to keep up with production and it's not unheard of but there is no way to know if it was replaced later or just original.)

Nice pair. Good set to hold onto for your kids or grandkids down the road for university or that trip when you retire. Thanks for posting I love my russian rifles.

So nice! I had one a couple years back, all matching, bought it in the late 1980's, reportedly a VN era bringback. Someone here has it ;)

Meh... How those rifles are better than my sportster moison with Bushnell scope? I got it for 130 only. And it has pistol grip.

The sad part is, the sporter with a modern scope is probably a better rifle!

You better send me your latest Finn capture 91/30, I don't want to see it meet a similar fate ;)

So which one is going to get the ATI polymer stock? ;)

Very nice rifles buddy :) they don't show up often looking so nice. It's good you have two, because if ever you sell one, you'll probably regret it, only to realize you were smart and still have one haha

I was honestly thinking ProMag Archangel stock for that truly tactical look.

If only I were ever smart!

very nice rifles ,where did you find them in original condition like this most of the ones that i have seen are sanded and electropenciled.
