Type 68 North Korean Pistol

It looks like an even crappier version of a Chinese Tokarev copy:

I imagine they are all but impossible to find. It's very difficult to even visit North Korea, let alone export firearms from that country. When I was at UBC there were two professors I knew who got to go to the DPRK as part of a delegation for some diplomatic talks the Canadian government was involved in. Everyone was like, "Wow... what was it like." (jaw on the floor type thing, over the fact that they actually got to visit it). I know lots of Koreans, lots of people with North East Asian roots, etc., and these profs are the only people I've ever spoken to who have actually been to North Korea. If someone is finding a way to sell off Korean military surplus and sell it in the west... I would be surprised. One of the issues with selling off military equipment is... no money to replace it in North Korea.

Wonder if it "shoots"...........

C'mon man you know it's gotta be made with some kinda secret recipe steel that's as hard as all get out...................... :p
I heard that North Korean steel is so hard it can withstand the blast of a 100 megaton nuclear weapon with no adverse effect. A gunsmith once told me that he ruined his tungsten carbide cutters just by looking at a Korean pistol the wrong way............:D

I really miss the debates on the subject of Chinese steel metallurgy (particularly Norinco M14 receiver).
