**TYPE 81 7.62x39 Service Rifle** ~IN STOCK -NOW AVAILABLE!!!

Took my Type 81 to the gravel pit, only had a few FTF due to mags (the modified RPK mag and a certain mag was having a problem every once in a while.). I put around 250 rounds of surplus and it all seemed to run fine on gas setting 1. I think its my new favourite and its for sure going to be my new bush gun! Also heads up, if you are one of those people who want to keep it scratch free, don't put the sling on. The rivet that holds the sling will scratch the rear part of the receiver

Mine finally came:
-barrel and receiver are straight as an arrow
-Stock has some dings around the edges
-No rust
-Some rivets or pins were smashed in by a guy that is not really accurate with a hammer .....or brick or whatever he used. so dent around the pins. will need some metal work to fill the dings. I will then Cerakote the whole thing.

The Eagle Has Landed! My god it appeared in the mail today. Well packed and xtra mags also shipped. Folding Rifle is strait / fit and finish is good / sling / owners manual / x2 small bits for cleaning ? / oil bottle / xtra folder wood [ matching ] Cleaning kit pops out of the folding stock. Quite nice really. Now I can sleep at night.

Who’s doing your cerekote/nickel plating?

A small custom shop in Medicine hat does the Cerakoting, PM me if you want the number. I used to do it as well but it got too busy as a side job so I had to bow out. The nickle/chrome stuff is Alberta Plating out of Calgary. He travels and picks up parts in Medicine Hat every so often. Turn around is 2 weeks he said.

Does the magpul Ak47 furnature fit on these at all?
I bought this on a whim and haven’t followed all the sub-threads.
The wood furnature looks terrible. There is no grain visible. It looks like chunks of wood glued together and the stain doesnt take so some parts

Why would you buy a rifle while knowing nothing about it?

So you don’t know the answer and a Google search you did yeilded zero answers.
I know that there wont be a 100% compatibly kinda wondering what type of McGyver work I would need to do. a non jackass answer would be just neato.

So take it apart, give it a try, and figure it out
